YOO-MI’s POV

I need a drink.

I really need a drink.

The Club Syndrome is a huge bar on the outskirts of town, far off the beaten path. It’s popular with tourists and a few town regulars. Different colors of lights emitted a bright glow outside its huge glass door making the whole place lighted.

I gnawed on the inside of my cheek, arms over my chest, debating whether or not I really wanted to go in.

I’ve never been to a bar before. I picked Josh up once after he passed out during a friend’s bachelor party. I stayed in the car while one of his friends helped him to get inside the car. Josh spent most of the drive home hurling his guts out the open back window as I laughed hysterically from the driver’s seat. I shook my head, smiling at the thought of my best friend.

I didn’t know why I was here, why I drove here. Why this late at night, I was suddenly looking for something to dull the ache?
