Chapter 13: Lauryn
I have the sweetest dream I can ever remember dreaming. Waking up, I recall all of it crystal clear. It's strange, because I don't think I have ever had a dream that seemed so real. Just before I woke up, it ended. This is what I remember.
Laying in bed, I turn over and a man is next to me. He sleeps soundly, so he doesn't hear me move towards him to kiss him and tell him that I love him. Feeling the warmth of his lips and smelling his scent all over, I am strangely comforted. It feels as if I know him very intimately and he belongs in my bed. I move again and he opens his eyes.
I recognize those eyes. Gorgeous blue eyes that say I need you now. His face is masculine, yet soft and so kissable that I can't help myself. Running my fingers through his blonde hair, I feel the need to never leave his side. To be his forever.

Spending the rest of the week at home, I do my best to relax and sleep. However, when someone like me is couped up for so long, I tend to go stir crazy. The sun comes up and shines through my window, forcing me to roll over and wake up. It's 6 a.m. and I technically don't have to be awake and out the door till 8, so I try to go back to sleep. Going to the doctor's was painful, but a breeze and then my meeting with Rick for lunch went over well. When I arrived at the office, it was another story. Theresa was home sick and everything had been piled on my desk by the substitute."What a mess." Getting dressed after my shower, I look through the fridge and find a lonely strawberry yogurt. Taking it, I sit down at the table and read the newspaper. As I sift through the news articles, I find one particularly interesting. Waking up Wednesday morning before the alarm goes off, I take a little longer in the shower and getting dressed than I usually do. First, the shower is especially warm and inviting. I even use my pumpkin spice shower gel that I love so much. Then, when I get out, I go through my new wardrobe that Shannon bought me on my birthday and try on several things.One thing in particular stands out and makes me feel good about myself. A very tasteful looking red dress, with just a small slit that goes up to my thigh. The neckline isn't low at all, but the dress hugs my curves in all the right ways. Anyone who looks at me, might think I am a top executive in this dress.Making this my choice for the day, I choose a pair of black leather high heels to complete the ensemble. I get to the office ahead of schedule and wait for my associates phone call. I pick up when it vibrates and listen carefully, "They were in on it together. Last night, I decided to go over to Mr. Lemon's house and I watched as the two of them talked, then fucked. I had a listening device implanted in his house and recorded everything. It's Thursday, yay! Just one more day and I will have completed a full work week without getting fired. Amazed with myself, I get ready for work and pick out a suitable outfit. My emerald green skirt and tan silk blouse look beautiful together and feel deliciously wonderful. Loving it when clothes fit so well and the touch of the fabric on your skin makes you smile, I can't stop grinning from ear to ear.
