Chapter 30: Darren
After telling Lauryn that I love her, she acts shocked. How could she be? I know she feels the same way, because I can sense it. When we touch, it's like our souls intertwine.
I watch her get dressed and get up on the horse, while I do the same. Between the kicking and bucking, I manage to calm Goldy down and catch up to Lauryn going at a fairly fast pace. Riding next to her, I sit quietly not wanting to make things worse than they already are.
She probably thinks this whole thing is some kind of setup, because ever since she got here it has been one thing after another.
