We ran like our lives depended on it... because they did.

How Garrett got the strength to hold on to his unconscious friend without his speed being affected surprises me. Funny enough, he was still in his human form, which makes me rather curious as to how he was doing it.

Something tells me he chose not to transform because he knew I would be unable to keep up with his speed. If it had not been for the weight on him limiting his speed, which I’m sure is intentional, then there would be no catching up with him for me.

I was right ahead of him, straining my ears at the same time to know if I would hear anything or anyone on our tails. But all the while, I’ve got nothing.

The reason we were running right through the woods after escaping my now dead grandma’s house was that the backyard of the apartment was connected to the woods. She had her apartment right among those in the outskirt
