Jayce tried his hardest not to let Shadow take over and keep himself from losing what little food he had eaten. He looked over at Myra who had tears streaming down her face and her hand covering her face. Even the nurses who were halfway out of the room seemed disturbed. “Did you see that too?”

He tried to get up to rush over and keep her from collapsing, but she didn’t. She just curled back up on the bed and covered herself up.
