11: Having the boy talk

"I just don't get it, a week ago my life was easy, uncomplicated. Now there are guys everywhere and I have started fantasising about.. you know stuff". I slump down on Davina's bed with a sigh.
"Sex ?" Davina says with twinkling eyes.
"I don't fucking know". I pull a pillow over my head. "I haven't really dealt with guys since I married little James in kindergarten".
Davina laughs. "Just tell me how you feel, doll. I've been there myself, maybe I can help you figure things out".
"Luca is so sweet. I can be myself when I am with him and it was like.. I don't know. There was this moment when I thought he..". I poke out from behind the pillow. "No it's stupid, of course he wasn't going to do that.. but there was this moment just before my mom showed up and again before he left".

*Soleil* The doorbell makes me jump slightly. On the way out to open I check myself in the mirror one last time. "Hi come on in". Luca flashes me a smile and walks inside. "I think we might even finish this up today". He says and goes to sit at the dining table. "Yeah we only have a few things left. But it is math, so this is you teaching me". I say taking a sip from my glass. "It's not that bad, Sol. It is just about following the formula". He says softly. "I was afraid you would say that. Is everything a damn formula ?" I ask with a sigh. He suppresses a laugh. "Nope there is exponentiation too". "Can't I bring you with me to the exam and you can hold up a card with helpful notes". I groan, looking pleadingly at him. "Well we could get you a wireless headset and then I can sit outfit, whispering in Your ear what to say". He says, sounding very enthusiastic. "Can we ?" "No". He shakes his head laughing softly, then he holds up his calculator. "Sinus, cosine or tangent ?"

"Soleil* I have gone for an evening walk, up the hill to the outdoor stage where they have viking plays every summer. The wind is playing with my hair, as I stand on the edge of the hill. Below me is the town sprayed out and in the distance I can see London. A new breeze makes me close my eyes, breathing in the fresh air, listening to the birds singing around me. Spring is turning slowly into early summer and this is when the year is reborn. I have read enough about wicca now. The web pages have taught me about connecting with nature to be one with everything. It is time for me to feel it with my own senses. With a sigh I turn to go sit on one of the little benches. I let my thoughts flow freely. It is weird, but it is like I still feel Luca, like his kiss left something lingering inside me. *Soleil*When we enter the club, the atmosphere is exactly like I remember from the first time. I notice how the dominating black colour makes the few colours much more dramatic. The contrast of colours in the girls dresses, stripes in the hair, the lining in jackets. The lipstick, mostly on girls but also on some boys, makes a fantastic change when the eyes are tired of black.It is like being in a film noir time machine, where the grand dresses of the romance, fetish leather, burlesque lace and punky piercings have all come together in one mixing machine and had been spit out here. There is no judgement here, everyone talks to and accepts everyone else, together in being outcasts from the normal world. Well except for the royals upstairs. *Soleil*I walk up the stairs to the lounge. I hesitate for a moment when I see that Mark is talking to a stunning woman. But he sees me and waves me over. He looks a bit floored. "This is Celine"."Hi". I say, sending her a friendly smile. She answers without looking at me. She has deep red lips and long silver blonde hair with a stripe the same colour as her lipstick. Her dress is long and sleeves black leather, with a slit in one side all the way up to her hip. Her makeup is dramatic and her eyes almost see through with a dark circle around them.Then she turns to look at me, her eyes taking in every inch of me, then she smiles, showing off perfectly white fangs. *The vampire*From where I stand I have a perfect view over the club and I instantly notice the shy young girl and her beautiful friend when they enter. There is something different about her this time. She walks with more confidence, her movements are more relaxed and her gaze more open. Even at this distance I can distingues her scent from the others and it has gotten a bit of a sour note this evening. Someone has gotten her hormones going and it isn't me. I don't like other people touching my toys. Annoyed, I look over the horde of cattle to see if I can spot the reason for her changed behavior.A lot of the boys are checking her out. A couple even dare talk to her, but it is hard to read the signals in the dim light and with the loud music. I need to find a way to get closer to her.

*Soleil*I sit in class, staring at the empty chair in front of me to the side. Luca hasn’t shown up to class and I have started to worry. I check my phone again, still not a word, actually I haven't heard from him since friday, where he ran off after the wonderful kisses and I am scared I did something wrong.Saturday before I went to Davina I sent him a text and again yesterday, but no answer. I don’t want to seem pushy, so I haven't written again.'Do you think he regrets and has moved to another School ?' I write on a piece of paper and push it towards Davina.'Yeah sure makes total sense to change school a week before exams start'. Davina writes back.'But what happened then ?
