Chapter 5

"What are you doing, Assi? Why are you lying in the ground?" Assi's father ask her when he enter the gate and saw her lying on the ground. He then angrily turns the maids that following her. "What are you waiting for? Help your lady to stand up and bring her to her room so she can change her dirty clothes."

"Y-yes, Lord Satua," said the two maids in chorus. They quickly help Yassi to stand up.

"Father, I have something to tell you. It's very important," Yassi said. She has to tell him the truth or else she will end up marrying the prince. It's now or never. "I am not Assi, my name is Yassi and I came from the real world."

Not only Assi's father frowned at what she said but also Prince Reikel whose staring at her.

"What are you talking about?"  he angrily asks her.  And then he looked at Prince Reikel with concern.  "I beg your pardon, my prince. I think my daughter still felt unwell that's why she said that ridiculous words," he immediately apologized to the prince.

"Because you don't want to marry me that's why you're making up a story?" Prince Reikel asks Yassi while staring at her.

"No, Prince Reikel. I'm not making up a story. I am telling the truth. My name is not Assi but Yassi and I came from the real world. I am not a part of this comic world and you're supposed to marry Denria whom you truly love," Yassi is desperate. She doesn't know how to make them believe that her words are all true.

"Stop it, Assi!" her father shouted to her and turn the two maids who were standing beside her and bowing their heads. "What are you waiting for? Hurry up and bring your lady back to her room!"

"Father, Prince Reikel, please believe me. I am te—"

"Let's go, Lady Assi," said the maid.

The two maids force her to go back to her room.

"Lady Assi? What's going on?" Frela just wakes up and asks her not noticing the two maids beside her. When she saw the two maids who have a higher rank than her she quickly stand up from lying in the bed and kneeled in front of the two maids and ask them to forgive her. "I'm sorry, Wan Erina, Wan Yuli. I never had an intention to sleep in my lady's bed."

Yassi was surprised when Wan Erina slaps Flera in front of her. What the heck! Why did she slap Flera?

"You're just sleeping her while your lady is trying to escape. All of us will face our lord's anger because of you," Wan Erina said angrily.

"We should teach this maid a lesson," said Wan Yuli. She walks closer to Flera and tries to pull her hair but Yassi quickly pulled Flera away from Wan Yuli.

"What are you doing? You have no respect for me. You will be going to punish my personal maid in front of me? What if I teach you a lesson instead of her and—"

"What's going on here?" a loud voice outside from Yassi's room interrupts her from talking to the two maids.

"My Lord," the three maids greet Assi's father while bowing their heads.

Why are these people always bowing their heads? Can they just talk while looking straight at the person they speak to?

"Nothing," she replied him. "The two of you can go out now," she commanded the two maids to go out her toom and let Frela stay.

"I'm warning you, Assi. Don't say ridiculous words again in front of Prince Reikel," said Assi's father after the two maids left the room.

Yassi took a deep breath. She has to convince Assi's father that she's telling the truth so he will not force her anymore to marry Prince Reikel.

"Father, what I've told you earlier was true. You might find it ridiculous but everything I said to you and Prince Reikel is true."

"I said stop it, Assi! If you're not going to stop talking nonsense I will not let you out of this room until your wedding day!"

"But father—"

"I know that you're doing this because you don't want to marry  Prince Reikel and the person that you loved and wanted to marry is Prince Karim. But this is the king's order and we can't defy his command. So please stop your nonsense, Assi."

Yassi was speechless and hopeless. She knew that no matter what she said, Assi's father will not going to believe her. In this world, she can't defy her father's command because she has no one to rely on in this place.

"You better prepare yourself and not cause any more chaos until your wedding day," he said before walking out of her room. "Don't let your lady comes out from her room. Understand?" he gave a command to Flera.

"Yes, my lord," Flera replied.

"What should I do, Flera? Except you, no one will believe me," out of frustration she kicks the side of her bed.

"My lady, don't do that. You might hurt your feet." Flera quickly runs to her and checks her feet if she's hurt.

"I'm okay, Flera. I'm sorry if I worried you. But how can I escape in this house? Especially now that everyone is eyeing on me?"

"I believe that you're telling the truth, my lady. Because I know Lady Assi very well. You and she are different in many ways. But making my lord and the prince believe what you said is very hard to do."

"Yeah. I also noticed that. But how can I escape from this house? I really want to go back to the real world? This is not my home, my world."

Do I really have to marry that prince? What if he suddenly turns into a monster and hurts me? Or worse eat me alive?

Yassi knows that in her situation she might not be able to go back to the real world easily. So she has to adapt not only to her surroundings but especially to the people around her.
