Malvika stood in front of Jayden's door, staring at Jenny and Jayden with her jaw dropped. A lot of questions swirled around her head as she stared at the both of them. Why the hell was Jayden dressed in just a short with no vest? She eyes Jenny furtively, taking note that none of her hair or dressing looked out of place. But still what where they doing? She snapped her mouth shut, knowing that she was starting to look like a fool. Then, in a very soft tone, she asked, "What is she doing here, Jayden?"Jayden opened his mouth to talk but he had no idea what to say. As he stared at Malvika, he saw the hurt swimming in her eyes. He knew he owed her no explanation – she wasn't his girlfriend after all – but that didn't stop him from feeling bad for hurting her. Jenny sent a smirk in Malvika's direction. "We were just making love," she said bluntly, mostly to hurt her. Her smirk grew wider when she saw Malvika's face contorting with Jayden. She turned to him and kissed him hard on the li
FLASHBACK Malvika walked into the house, tired, angry and hurt. It had been a gloomy day for her. She had just found out that the guy she was in love with was in love with her elder sister and it had wrecked her emotionally and mentally.. What were the odds of that happening? How the hell could Jayden be in love with Diane? And why hadn’t she ever suspected it? She should have known, right? And most importantly, did Diane also love Jayden too? After Jayden’s shocking and heartbreaking confession to her, Malvika had sort comfort from the most unlikely person and from her worst enemy – Jenny. In her drunken state, she had told Jenny about Jayden and his love for Diane. “Can you believe it?” she asked drunkenly, he arms flailing about and knocking a couple of bottles off while Jenny just stared at her, amused. “The….the two of us are here pining over him and……and…..” she hiccupped, “he’s in love with my sister!” “The two of us?” Jenny asked, her amusement evident on her face as she con
"Thanks for the ride," Natasha said to the teenage boy as she climbed down his bike. She smiles shyly under his scrutinizing gaze, biting her lower lip, then looking down. Her heat leaped a bit when he gave her a bright smile in return. "The pleasure is all mine," he answered, giving her a kiss on her cheek. "I will see you in school tomorrow?"She nodded, her insides, dancing with joy. "Yes," she answered. "You will see me in school tomorrow. " He nodded, gave her another kiss, said bye, revved up his bike and drove away. Natasha bit her inner cheek as she watched him drive away. If someone had told her that she would be riding on her crush's bike and he would be kissing her cheek, she never would have believed the person. But well, it happened. She couldn't believe her luck. She grinned. 'Wait until I tell Malvika about it,' she thought. 'She would be so excited for me.'With those thoughts, Natasha joyfully skipped into the house. She walked past the empty living room and climbed
"What the heck?!" Diane finally verbalized, storming into the room. "What the heck happened here? Was she robbed?!"Nicholas gave her a weird look. "No, I don't think so, Diane. I think she just stood up to leave.""Well, where the hell is she?!"Nicholas frowned. "How should I know?"Diane whirled around to face him. "You should know!" She yelled. "I left my two sisters under your care. And now one of them has disappeared without a trace! What the hell, Nicholas?! I thought you were responsible.""What?" Nicholas stared at her, am incredulous look on his face. "Need I remind you, Diane," he said, in an extremely controlled voice, "that Malvika is an adult who can be responsible for herself.""Oh, don't you dare talk to me in that tone," Diane growled. "Besides, it obvious that she carefully packed her things and left. How is that my fault?" he asked. Diane glared at him for a while. Then, she shoved him aside and rushed out of the room, towards the hallway and down the stairs. As s
Malvika pulled her bag and luggage after her, walking out of the airport. She had no idea what to do or where she was going. But she knew she couldn't go back to New York. Not anymore. She could never call her sisters again, at least not for a long while. She had blocked their numbers and even blocked them on all of her social media including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. She was starting a new life. Maybe after a while, when she had settled down, she would finally call them to apologize. She would tell them that it needed to be done and that she had no choice. But for now, all she could do was ghost them. Standing by the side of a road, she waved her hands to flag down an empty cab and the driver parked beside her. "Hi. Can you just take me to the nearest hotel?" she asked. He frowned at her unusual request. "I'm sorry. I'm new to Florida and I don't really know anywhere here. So, could you help me out. Just drop me at the nearest hotel, please, thank you."He nodded and she op
Malvika rose up from the bed and walked to the window side. She stood there, looking down at the parking lot. Mentally, she started counting the the numbers of cars in the parking lot, unsure of what else to do. After a while, she sighed and glanced at her phone on the bed. The sudden urge to pick up the phone and call Diane overwhelmed her but she managed to shrug it off and glance back outside. She had absolutely no plan for today but as she thought about it, she decided to go out and scout for a job. She needed one if she was going to ever survive without Diane and Natasha. Malvika had never actually lived alone or be responsible herself alone in her life. At first, when her father was still alive, he used to send her a couple of bonuses in a month because she was a passive partner of the company. Then, when he died, Diane placed her on a monthly salary. But now, she wasn’t sure that was possible anymore. If she wanted this to work, she had to find an actual job.But the thing was
Diane and Natasha climbed out of the car and headed into the company’s building. The security men at door mumbled greetings to Diane and she nodded in reply, walking straight towards her receptionist, Ariana’s desk.Immediately Arian saw Diane coming, she rose to her feet and greeted as politely as she could, “Good morning Miss Matthews.”“Ariana, how are you doing this morning?” Diane asked.“Fine, thank you ma.” She paused, hesitating. Then, she said, “Um… ma, my apologies for your….. your sister's disappearance.”“Oh, I see you’ve heard about that,” Diane said, shrugging her shoulders while trying to play it cool. Behind her, Natasha rolled her eyes. “Anyway, that’s kind of the thing I wanted to talk to you about.”“Oh?”“Hmm. Ariana, I need your help,” Diane started to say.Ariana straightened up. “With what ma?” she asked in a polite and respectful tone.“Like you said, my sister is no where to be found and well, she isn’t picking any of our calls and we really need to know her l
Malvika stumbled through the hotel doors, ignoring the looks that people have her. She looked and felt exhausted and she knew it. As she turned to walk into the elevator, she saw Haley standing by her desk and walked towards her. “Hi,” She greeted, slumping into the tall stool that was across Haley.Haley glanced at her. “Hi. Malvika, right?”Malvika nodded. “Yeah. I came here to look for you this morning,” she said. “But the guy here said you weren’t around yet.” She had forgotten the guy's name.“Right. My shifts starts at twelve in the afternoon,” Haley replied. “And it ends by ten. How are you doing?” she asked politely.“I’m stressed out,” Malvika groaned. “I’m tired and I just want to lay down and sleep. I have no idea what to do. I’m so fucking tired.”“Is something wrong?” Haley inquired. Then, she hurriedly said, “Sorry for asking. I don’t mean to be a snoop but it’s just that you look really…..well, stressed. You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.”“No, it’s okay,”
