ONE HUNDRED AND SEVEN

Diane stood by the dressing mirror, slowly peeling off her earrings. As she did so, the door opened and from the reflection on the mirror, she could see Nicholas walk in. A smile graced her face as he walked towards her and snaked his arms around her. "Hey," he whispered in her ear, giving her a kiss on the temple.

"Hey," Diane murmured still smiling.

"You feeling sleepy already?" He asked, still holding her by her waist and now rocking her slowly from side to side.

"No. Why?"

"I was thinking we could go outside tonight and watch the stars," he said in a soft voice.

"That will be nice," Diane answered slowly. She turned around in his arms, placing both of her hands on his shoulders. "Let's do it," she said.

Releasing her waist, her slid his arms around her and guided her out of the room to the garden at the back of the house. The house was quiet so, no one obviously knew when they left or what was going on and they preferred it that way.
