CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX: Rubies

I gasped. I breathe loudly staring at the ceiling. I sat down and leaned against the cold wall. I curled my legs under the thick blanket and rested my forehead on the top of my knees. Minutes later my breathing tuned down and my heartbeat slowed down.

“That nightmare again,” I whispered and held my head.
