Chapter 9: Basted

ACADIA'S POV

It was as if I was floating in emptiness after getting out of the new professor’s office.

“You. You are the one I have found to be with for the rest of my life. ”

"Oh shit zu," I whispered and messed up my hair.

H-Ha! Is he really only twenty years old?! Argh! Has that professor gone crazy for being alone in life?

"Hey? Why is your face like that? ” Kerky asked after greeting me to the library.

"I'll tell you later." I answer and sigh. I don’t know what else face I will present to the new professor. I am ashamed of what he said earlier.

"Are you going straight to the library?" he asked and I nodded. "How's Luna?" He asked again and I was stunned.

“Aaiisshh! Yes by the way! All right, I'll go to her first. ” I said hurriedly and left him.

Luna disappeared from my mind. Well he reminded. Tsk! This is the feeling that makes me disgusted again.

"Who is that? Nice face, huh."

"Bro, look, that woman is so beautiful!"

That's all I heard before entering the library with Luna. Upon entering, we immediately caught everyone’s attention. Rumor has it like bees.

“Choose the books you want to read and return them afterwards. I'll mop the whole library first. ”I said to Luna and she nodded.

"Okay," she answered and excitedly looked around the entire library and then left beside me.

So I started my job. "You lied to us." I turned to my right when I heard that.

I saw Asia and her two friends from there.

“I-I was just scared, Mia. You are my only friend— ”

"That's it, we're just your friends but you still managed to lie to us." Cutting it to what my sister would say. “Whatever you say, we will not understand you. We are your friends, we say everything about us but you? ... we better end our friendship. ” She added and Asia burst into tears.

"Mia, don't be like this." My sister pleaded and took both of its hands and even looked at one of their companions. "Please don't be like this." She begged again but Mia let go of her grip.

"Come on, Tina." Mia and the hand of the one next to her passed and left Asia crying.

She wiped away her tears and rolled her eyes, I couldn't do anything after her gaze stopped on me.

Her face grew sadder and after staring at me for less than two minutes, she left the library.

"Is it my fault?" I asked and gasped.

If it's my fault, why? Did I want this life? Not really.

LUAN'S POV

What should I do? It's true that I'm only twenty years old.

She might now think I'm crazy. AAAAIISSSHHH!

FLASHBACK

“Did you know that most couples have a huge age gap? And most of that is lifelong love. ”

“Yes. I also notice that, professor." She replied.

“When I was young, it never entered my mind to get married or even look for a girlfriend because for me, it was just a headache. But now ... now I realize more that it's hard to grow old without a partner. ”

"It's really hard." I feel her sadness at that statement.

"But it's good that I found someone to be with." I smiled softly as I looked at her.

She looked up, "Wow? Really?! I'm happy for you, Professor'" she said with a smile.

"Won't you ask who?" I asked and she seemed embarrassed.

“I-It's embarrassing to ask, especially since we're not that close. But if you say so, it's fine. I am happy to know who is the woman you have found that you will be with for life, professor."

"You."

“H-Ha? Me?" She asked and suddenly her happy face seemed to be noticed by nervousness.

"You. You are the one I have found to be with for the rest of my life. ” Me and I smiled sweetly. "I want to marry you."

To my surprise, she suddenly stood up and bowed, "P-Professor, this is not a good joke—"

"I am not joking." I interrupted what she was going to say and I saw both of her hands shaking.

What the hell! If I was just on the Moon, the woman I’m talking to about marriage would probably be jumping for joy!

“Professor, sorry. If you can tell me this because of our conversation yesterday, I want to say that I regret it. Sorry, Professor. I'm sorry if I thought differently about what you do for me because you are right, you just care about me and there is no other reason other than that. I shouldn't have thought of anything else because what you did was normal— ”

“What are you saying? Yeah, I did it because I really care about you as your professor but that issue is not included in what I'm telling you right now. I want to marry you, Acadia. I'm seriou— "

"PROFESSOR!" she screamed and I was stunned.

Her hands trembled even more.

“Prof! I was only seventeen years old while you were forty years old! Aren't you terrified of what you say? Let's just say it's not a joke, but Professor? You are a professor and I am a student. I was about to admire the mindset you have because of what you said about relationship but what are you saying now? Why—”

"Stop." I nodded and averted my eyes from her. "I'm really only twenty years old." I added and bent both arms. What I'm saying is embarrassing!

“W-What?! T-Twenty years old? Professor, please, don't make this kind of joke. ” She said and took a deep breath.

I haven't been able to answer yet because I don't want to talk and I might be embarrassed again.

‘Se won't believe you, Luan. Not now.'

"I-I'm going out, professor." She whispered and left my office.

“Five days? Five days… Tsk! It looks like it will take a while. ”

I calmed down and adjusted myself, I decided to leave the Office first because I felt, I was choking here with my embarrassment.

“Did you see that woman before? She's beautiful, pre! ” I heard from a man I met.

"Yes hahaha just let the two of us know who will get her first." Answer by his companion.

I was shaken after remembering what I had said earlier. It's a headache, huh? AAARRGGGHHH!
