Twenty one

"I want to talk to you," Catori said with folded arms. 

"Yes? What is it about?" Fenris did not bother to turn back and face her. He just stood with his back to her, watching the golden sunset. 

"You will look at me while I speak to you," Catori ordered. 

The brown skinned man before her smirked to himself. "And what if I refuse to do as you wish?" he asked. "What's going to happen, sweetheart?" 

"You don't want to know," Catori retorted. With a sigh, the man turned to face her. His gaze landed on those light brown orbs. Instead of the warmth he was used to seeing in those eyes, he saw ice. The coldness in her eyes reminded him of himself. It was the same icy gaze that he himself gave off. 

"As you and I know," she started. "We are mates." Fenris let out another sigh. This was the conversation he had been trying to avoid for days. He opened his mouth to talk but she held up her index finger to silence him.&nbs
