Fifty seven

Alaric held Natalie in his arms as the sun reminded them to get up and make something out of the day. "When will your parents be ready to let me go?" he whispered.

The young woman snuggled her nose into his chest. "I don't know. They are being insistent that we are the ones who attacked those guards," she whispered back. She pressed her body to his on the soft bed. He kissed her forehead and continued to look at the celing.

"If we don't get out of here as soon as possible, there will be problems," he muttered to himself.

Natalie felt him stir, away from her. "What are you doing?" she asked with a cute frown on her face.

"I need to go out to the living room and talk to the others," he replied. "Staying here for one month hasn't been easy so this isn't funny to say the least."

"Alright. I'll join you guys soon. Let me check on those kids first," she said.
