As they scurried around in an attempt to see, each one began to cough and scream for their poor eyes stung like they were being attacked by a swarm of bees.

The addition of tear gas to that smoke screen was a wise decision, his wolf said as Alaric beat them up and collected the bunch of keys from the head guard.

Indeed, it was, he replied.

Luck was on his side. The bunch was a small one so it was not hard for him to find the particular rusty key to the big padlock. He opened it as quietly as he could and went in. Everywhere was in pitch darkness.

How come this place is so quiet? Aren't there supposed to be guards in here as well? his wolf asked.

I wonder about that as well, he replied.

He took a look around the cold space but it was completely empty save for the equally empty cages that were littered around.

Maybe they now keep the prison
