Fifty nine

Valentino descended from the tree that he was perched on. They were lucky enough to escape those cavemen who chased them far into the woods. He got to where Arthur and Kasa were waiting for him. Kasa was laying on her back looking at the tranquil sky.

In his mind, Valentino wondered what was going on with her. Recently, Kasa Hemming had not been herself. All of a sudden, she became a secretive person, always keeping to herself. She rarely engaged in any conversation the way she used to. The only time she acted like his Kasa was when they made love and even then, he still felt this odd energy around her. He was truly worried about her but each time he asked her what the matter was, she snapped at him like an angry dog.

"Did we lose them?" Arthur basked him.

"Yes, I think we did, Valentino said. "What we need think about now is how we will survive out here."
