CHAPTER FIFTEEN
~DAVID~
I had been so restless, nothing seemed right, everything felt disoriented, I wanted to fix it, both at home and work, nothing got fixed.
How I wanted her to just show up in my office this morning and greet me, I wouldn't mind if she had her usual fake smile plastered to her face. I just wanted to see her again, to talk to her, and mostly apologize.
The fact she didn't come to work without a notice should've normally pissed me off, but I remembered firing her last night.
It was one long night.
If I could repeat it, I would change so much about it and avoid all these complications I'm experiencing.

~Elizabeth~"Yes, it's going according to plan." I heard Sandra say to her phone.After a while, she ended the call and turned to the two men with us."We're moving to phase two." She said and they nodded and left the room.It was all so confusing. There was a phase two? There were phases?!"What're you doing?" I asked her as she removed the sim from her phone and changed it to a new one."That shouldn't concern you." She replied."Look..""Shut up and do not tell me to look at anything!" She retorted immediately, cutting me off.

~DAVID~He was the one behind all this. Of course he was. I just never expected it to be him. We barely met, even when we did, just a formal conversation. So what exactly did he hold against me?"Segun what do you want?" A sigh left my mouth. I wasn't too shocked at his presence. He was a pathetic human being. Everyone knew that.
