~DAVID~
"Help! I've been kid-"
Just like that, the line got cut.
I waited for a while, my brain processing what was happening, "What just happened?" Kelvin asked.
I was as confused as he was.
Her last words rang in my head all over again. What was it supposed to mean?
Help...
She asked for help...something was up...
"David, what's wrong?" Kelvin asked again.
"She said help." I deadpanned.

~Elizabeth~"Yes, it's going according to plan." I heard Sandra say to her phone.After a while, she ended the call and turned to the two men with us."We're moving to phase two." ~DAVID~He was the one behind all this. Of course he was. I just never expected it to be him. We barely met, even when we did, just a formal conversation. So what exactly did he hold against me?"Segun what do you want?" A sigh left my mouth. I wasn't too shocked at his presence. He was a pathetic human being. Everyone knew that. All I didn't understand was why he brought Elizabeth into it."Well, you don't seem surprised, especially for someone who has been kidnapped." He smirked and I rolled my eyes."You hate me. I get it, a lot of people do. Why bring her into it? She has nothing to do with you." I spitted out."She's just beautiful." He replied, sending a disturbing smile to Elizabeth.

~SEGUN~"What Sandra?" I said to her. I really wasn't in the mood for her type of talks."It wasn't part of the deal." She said."What wasn't part of the deal?" I dipped my hands into my pocket."Killing him or molesting her." She replied and I rolled my eyes."When you put it that way," I started, taking my time to do a small laugh. "It's changes nothing. ~DAVID~"Are you sure you're okay?" I asked her again."You've asked me that like a million times. I swear I'm fine. I should be asking you." She smiled softly."Just a bruised cheek. I'll be alright." I told her."I'll need you two to report a..." An officer began to speak but Kelvin interrupted him."No, if you need anything meet me. Don't spoil their love time." He pulled the officer away from us."Love time." I said more to myself than anyone else. She made it clear she didn't want anything to do with me in that aspect. So I promised not to push it.

~Elizabeth~I groaned out when the alarm I had set went off. Another day, another working day. It was good, yet annoying. One way or another, David was able to talk me into coming back to work, more like forced me.Sluggishly, I got up from bed and headed to my bathroom. The cold water from my shower hit my skin and I shivered in both delight and fear of catching a cold. Closing my eyes, I let my body adjust to the feeling.Everything was going back to the way it was, my job as the personal assistant to Mr. Badmus, having to wake up very early in the morning and drive to B Corp, expecting a work load from around nine till either five, six or seven in the night.The only change now is, I don't have psychotic nightmares, neither do I have a psychotic father, my mother is well and finally, I'm dating my boss.Cliche much.

~Elizabeth~I didn't utter another word, I couldn't think of anything to say. The only thing that my brain could register was David, so briskly, I left my office and Chidima to go to David's.Walking towards his office, I could see the eyes of others on me, they all knew what was up and some took pleasure at other people's discomfort, especially those that were not happy about David and I being together. So I decided against sending glares at any of them.I didn't even bother to knock, I just pushed the door open. When the door was wide open, my eyes met with David's. And with the look of things, he also just heard of the news.It was all out. Tears clouded my eyes and I didn't stop myself from letting it out. My knees grew weak and I staggered backwards,

~Elizabeth ~It was already time to leave work, I did not want to leave my office though. I did not want to have to face the people who would laugh or mock or feel pity for me. I just wanted to blend in back. Yes, David did say to ignore them, but it was almost impossible to. Especially when they were standing close to you. I watched the door knob of my office twist, but I was too absent minded to react to it. Then David poked his head through it. "You ready?""What?" I raised a brow at him. He stared at me for a while, then decided to bring his entire body into view by entering my office and shutting the door. "Are you ready to go?" He asked and I nodded in understanding.
