CHAPTER THIRTY SEVEN

~Elizabeth~

He was just downstairs, patiently waiting for me to get ready. I was ready—not really. My dress and make up was perfect and on point but mentally, I was no where near ready for the date.

It was not only impromptu, but was also my very first date with anybody. Then he decided to tell me out of the blues!

"Elizabeth, it's been four hours and counting. Come out!" David yelled, making me jerk.

Picking up my purse, I took one last glance at the mirror and headed out of the room without thinking any further.

When I reached the living room, I found David seated on the couch looking bored as hell. As usual, he wore a tuxedo and it fitted him well.

"I'm ready," I called for his attention.

He looked up at me, his eyes immediately giving me a once over. My face heated up but I enjoyed that a man was checking me out.
