In A Bid To Survive

The air was freezing cold and the silence was rather deafening. Charlotte sat on a stone close to the entrance of the cave the group had stumbled into, in a bid to escape the Queen's raging soldiers. It was snowing heavily outside and the wind was showing signs of increasing in it's intensity.

She was worried that their only medium of escape would end up being covered by snow, it would be worse if the snow storm ended up in full blast. Getting out of the cave wouldn't be an easy task, either. She was almost certain that the snow on the ground, would cover their feet, right up to their knees.

Shivering from the cold, she pulled up her shawl closer around her shoulders and rubbed her numb palms against each other, trying to keep warm. Her gaze rested on Hazel who was lying on a blanket with an extra blanket covering her unconscious form. She had not moved an inch since Lhlye brought her in. Speaking of Lhyle, he was sitting on a stone in the corner, his h
