11. Sly Demon
Felen wore a differentt attire from the other students’. It made her stand out. The white coat she was in stark contrast to the black uniform of the Academy of אשמדאי (Ashmedai) students.
She was the centre of attention. Not just because of her attire, but because the teacher had mentioned Leon’s name.
Lucifer, or Leon, is the king of the demons and she was the bride chosen by him.
That was why they were curious for different reasons.
One of them was a golden-haired female demon who was looking at Felen. Her eyes didn’t move the slightest bit as she watched her.
“You’d better not annoy her, Miss Litiana.”
The warning came from the black-haired man, who was leaning against the large window beside Litiana. His right eye is brown and his left eye is green with a cylindrical shape. It looked unique and scary at the same time.

When Leon came back to his castle, he rushed to Felen’s room through the balcony. The first thing that caught his attention was Felen, who was relaxing on the sofa. She looked normal in a plain white nightgown, but somehow in his eyes, she was stunning. “What are you doing there?” Felen’s soft voice pulled Leon out of his fantasy. He adjusted himself so as not to look like a foul. The air in Devil Reign was getting colder and colder. The sky turned grey with dark clouds slowly devouring the sky. However, the falling snow filled every corner of the city, looked contrast and overlap. White and black were trying to merge, like a monochrome painting. Felen watched all the changes from the balcony. The beautiful yet terrifying sight made her amazed. The gust of wind that hit her exposed skin was hot, painful, and piercing. It as if the particles carried by the wind were tiny fiery daggers. She opened her palm to feel the snow. As it touched hers, she flinched in surprise. However, Felen, who could not witness all that, begged Leon to let her out of that cursed place. “Leon, I want to get out of here.” Her grip on his arm tightened as the sighs, groans, and growls of the humans grew louder. “Please...” She gave up, lowering her ego so Leon would let her go. “Very well.” She was lucky because this time he didn’t refuse it. The night sky had taken over by a shining sun. Yet Felen’s journey in the human world — her hometown, still continuing. After a melodrama due to witnessing an incident that became a traumatic experience, Leon brought her to a different place. However, unlike before, where he used invisible magic so other humans wouldn’t notice their presence, this time he and Felen blended with them. They were like a couple on a date, holding hands together. She just followed him without saying much. She was still in a state of confusion and shock. Her mind wandered elsewhere. She didn’t even realise she almost hit a street lamp pole in front. People passing by made her head dizzy. The bright and warm sunlight against her skin, the happy sound of a child running in a small alley, a vehicle driving down the street, the shops lined up, the sound of birds chirping, and a cat meowing — it all seemed unreal to her. She felt like she was in a long dream.

The greatest loss of human beings is when they are being abandoned or betrayed. *** “So what do you want to do, Milady?” Leon asked. He stood beside Felen, waiting for the decision his future bride would make. Right now, they were in a tall building that made it easy to see the surrounding area. Felen, who was spying Barend and his new family from quite a distance away, ignored his question. Her mind was in deep thought after seeing Abelard, who had grown up. He looked exactly alike to young Barend. They are like two peas in a pond. She was sure that no one would doubt him as Barend’s son, even if others knew he was from the slums. Something crossed her mind. She glanced at Leon. She assumed he knew what happened to her family. “What’s wrong? Surprise flashed in his clear green eyes, seeing Felen’s demeanour changed 180 degrees, as if their conversation earlier had never happened.
