15. Circus Animal

The night is still long as the madness of the humans continues. However, Felen, who could not witness all that, begged Leon to let her out of that cursed place.

“Leon, I want to get out of here.” Her grip on his arm tightened as the sighs, groans, and growls of the humans grew louder.

“Please...” She gave up, lowering her ego so Leon would let her go.

“Very well.”

She was lucky because this time he didn’t refuse it. He helped her by supporting her waist. Her nauseous made her vision blurry and so did her focus.

“The human body is indeed weak,” he said with pity.

She did not respond to his blatant ridicule. She was already struggling enough to support his own body. Responding to him only drained her energy even more.

“Do you want me to help you?”

She ignored him and continued walking towards the door that seemed awfully far away.
