Chapter 1: He wants a divorce

Jerica stood at the hospital door as soon as she receive the results of her fertility test. In her heart, she was hoping it to be positive.

She and Asnawi have been married for almost 5 years. They have always wanted a baby-- a descendant to the Linganay Family. Pero sa limang taon na iyon ay hindi parin sila biniyayaan ng anak.

Usually, Asnawi would accompany her for her checkup. But lately, it seems that he had been very busy with work. Syempre, naiintindihan naman ito ni Jerica. Ang trabaho ng kanyang asawa ay hindi madali.

Ayaw nya ring abalahin pa ito lalo’t alam nyang may mga kinakaharap itong problema sa kompanya.

Just as she was about to read the results, she saw Jasmine; her husband's secretary walking towards her. She calmly looked at her but didn't thought that Jasmine would glare at her fiercely.

"Mrs. Linganay, are you here again for your fertility check? I believe you still haven't given up just yet? It's almost five years! Ha! You can't even conceive a baby," Jasmine said mockingly.

‘Masyadong pranka ang babaeng ito.’ Wari ni Jerica sa kanyang isipan.

Jerica felt wronged, however what Jasmine said just now was right.

Ngunit kahit pa totoo ang kanyang mga tinuran ay wala itong karapatang sabihan ng masama at pagtawanan ang kanyang kakulangan bilang isang babae. 'Anong mapapala ko kung makikipag-away ako?’ turan ni Jerica sa sarili.

"Nope. Not anymore." Jasmine replied rolling her eyes. With mock in her expression she handed over a folder to Jerica.

Jerica stiffened just now.

"What do you mean?" She questioned her with a faint tone.

"Why don't you see it for yourself? MRS. LINGANAY.” Nakangiting sabi nito habang dinidiin ang salitang “MRS. LINGANAY”

Jasmine replied annoyed. She kept rolling her eyes, reflecting how stubborn and impatient she was.

Napakunot na lamang ang noo ni Jerica.

As soon as she opened the folder and read it's contents, Jerica almost fainted. Seeing her reaction, Jasmine released a wide devilish smile on her face. It was as if Jerica's reactions satisfied her insecurities back then. Seeing her like this seemed to excite her more.

Hindi paman lubos maintindihan ni Jerica ang mga pangyayari ay muling nagsalita si Jasmine. At ang huling sinabi nito ang higit na dumutog sa kanya.

"I'm 12 weeks pregnant with Asnawi's child. You see he wants a divorce."
