Chapter 6

"No matter what, you would run away from here and won't look back at me. He is here."

Iris didn't understand a single word of his father, that was said to her. She didn't understand why her father would suggest running away when she could simply drive back to the airport. There was no such reason to ponder over a single matter like that. It was utterly the driver's fault who had eventually blocked their path. She watched her father taking the car backward as those two men who came down from the car started walking towards them.

That was the first time she noticed their features. Both of them were tall and muscular enough to tackle any sort of fight. They looked similar yet a little different. One of them ran his fingers through his thick brown hair while walking with a playful smirk. He looked a bit older than the other one.

Before Iris could say something to her father, she noticed he had already hopped off the car and walked towards them. At first, it looked more like a discussion that was taking place due to the short commotion that happened because of their suddenly parked car. Being seated inside the car it wasn't easy to hear out their words as they maintained enough of their lower tone.

Iris tried hard to not panic but her attempt became futile when the man standing there grabbed her father's collar and landed a punch immediately on his face. The impact was so hard that her father stumbled back and landed on the car's bonnet. A small gasp left her mouth when she saw them coming towards her father. Tyler wasn't ready for the blow at least in front of his daughter. His face smacked on the hard metal and the moment his eyes snapped towards the windscreen he saw Iris being panicked seated inside the passenger seat.

"Just drive to the airport and run."

Tyler mouthed that statement and surprisingly on the next move he jumped on one of those men to pin him down on the ground. Even though she had never seen her father fighting, the way he jumped looked more of a trained stunt. A large growling was heard followed by another one when another man came and pushed his father away.

For a second all three looked more like raging animals ready to tear each other without a second thought. Even though her father's loud voice boomed once again in her ears, she forgot to follow them.

"Get away from here Iris. Drive back the car."

Her trembling hands reached the seat belt to remove it. Even though she had to push herself in the driving seat her mind was still occupied with other things. Her eyes couldn't leave the sight she was watching. Two men jumped on her father.

She looked back once to see Uncle Jeremy coming out from the car. And before things could turn something wrong she pushed herself out from the car and rushed towards the area where those men were beating her father.

"Dad..........." She screamed, making them stop in their actions.

"Iris no........" Jeremy shouted from the back while running towards her. He was planning to drive her to the airport while Tyler was busy diverting those Knight Brothers.

"Get away from my dad....." Iris stormed in between them and pushed one of them away with her tiny hand.

"Iris......" Her father screamed seeing the damage that her daughter had already done.

"Wow........" The man didn't bulge but he released the grip on Tyler's neck and pulled him up on his feet. His golden-brown orbs were roaming on every single inch of her body. The man who was there behind her passed a throaty chuckle to them.

"Loo, brother, what we have got."

Leonard and Alex both laughed together seeing Iris standing all in rage with a flared nose and anger-filled eyes.

"You......how dare you to touch my dad."

In the next moment, a slap landed on Leonard's right cheek, and all of their faces turned into a shocked one watching the biggest mistake done by Iris.

"Iris......" Her father was the first person to shout with a bleeding nose and scratched forehead

"What did you do girl?" Jeremy rushed towards her but was immediately blocked by other men who had already come down from the other two cars that were encircling them.

For a second Leonard looked at the young small girl standing in front of her. In the next moment, his clenched jaw and burning eyes made it clear that he was pissed off beyond anything.

The entire area shook with his growling when he moved his face up and roared like a wolf. Irises' eyes narrowed with the sudden change of his demeanor. She couldn't understand how could a man roar like that. Her body froze when he shifted his gaze on her and she saw dazzling golden orbs.

One after another her feet started taking back steps seeing the man standing there with popped-up veins on his forehead and a tight fist. She didn't notice another man was standing just behind her. Her back footing halted when her back collided with a hard chest. Turning her face abruptly she saw the same rage in his eyes too but his eyes were more brown.

Something was wrong. Her mind tried to form an explanation but there was no answer left for her.

"Dad......" The moment she realized her mistake of slapping the man standing there, her meek voice searched for the shelter in her father's arms.

"You made the biggest mistake of your life....." Leonard spoke in a deep husky tone and the next moment she found her dad being held by his neck pushing him down on the ground.

"No.......dad....... You.....leave him....." Before she could take a step forward a large hand wrapped around her waist to stop her and it was none but Alex who was utterly angry.

"Now you would watch him die," Leonard spoke while putting pressure on his father's neck making it difficult for him to breathe.

"No....... Dad....... leave him... I am saying sorry. It was my fault. He didn't do anything... I did....."

Iris kept on thrashing her hands and legs while crying and screaming in Alex's grip. Tears were flowing from her eyes making her vision blurry but all she could see was her father's miseries. He was the only person left for her. She couldn't lose him.

"No......" She cried out seeing him losing his senses and Leonard kept on glaring at her form while continuing his work. For a second Iris could only think of a single situation, that was offering herself to them to save her father. There wasn't anything important that the man who raised her and she called him dad.

"Don't hurt him. I made a mistake. Punish me. Not him. I can do anything. Just leave him." Iris cried out, breaking her voice and thrashing more in that iron grip.

"No... Iris..... Kill me, Leonard... Let my daughter go...."

Tyler spoke while trying hard to breathe in Leonard's hold.

Releasing a little amount of pressure from Tyler's neck Leonard chuckled a little.

"Wow... What a lovely family scene... Father is willing to die for daughter and so does daughter too...."

"Leo, she is innocent. She doesn't know anything about us. Let her go. She means no harm."

Tyler stood up from the ground to shield his daughter. He had one chance to save Iris and he would do anything for her.

"Oh... But that doesn't mean she is not responsible for your deeds. What if she just chose the same path as you and your ancestors." Leonard chuckled while making a poker face.

Iris understood nothing. What was talking about? Her cries didn't stop but she couldn't even ask them.

"Leo, she is not like us. Whatever you want to do, you have me to torture. She can't shift herself. Let her go. She is just eighteen."

Tyler almost fell on his knees to save Iris but all he got was a hard punch on his face making him fall on the ground. There was a pin drop silence after that.

Her eyes widened the very next moment when she saw something that she had never seen in her life. Her father was not the same she had seen. Crouching down on the ground his back arched and a strange groaning sound started coming out from his mouth.

His feet started changing color and structure. Large nails were popping out from both his feet and palms.

"Dad....." Iris meekly said and with an ear-piercing sound, all she had seen was a large wolf standing in front of her ripping his t-shirt and pants.

"Dad.........." Iris cried out seeing his father turned into a big grey wolf. Never in her left, she had seen something like that. It felt like a dream or a clip taken from a movie. But she had to believe that as the incident happened in front of her naked eyes.

"Am I a wolf's daughter?" That was the first question that came to her mind when the realization hit her hard.

The man she had seen since her birth had just turned into a wolf. But how?

Alex released his grip pushing her forward. The same sort of groaning sound was heard from her behind and when she dared to look back she found another brown wolf almost equivalent to her father's height and structure standing there showing all of his brutal teeth. His one paw was scratching the ground preparing for a jump of her father whereas the growling could be heard from the other end too.

Her feet became jelly as she found herself standing in between two wolves. Slowly she felt a touch of fur at her right side when she noticed the grey wolf who was her father stood beside her growling in the same way.

For a second her eyes bored into the eyes of the wolf or her father. Yes. She saw the same eyes she had been seeing for so many years.

"Dad..... You.........." She managed to speak... When the wolf brought his face towards her and snuggled a little. She could feel the same comfort and warmth from the wolf.

A fatherly touch could never be forgotten.

In the next moment, both the wolf jumped at each other and a scream left her mouth.

"No......dad......". Iris screamed followed by another loud sound that came from Leonard's side.

"Alex... Finish him...."

But no one was ready to hear anything. Leonard was watching the fight as he knew his brother was more than capable of handling a roguelike Tyler.

The fight went on and all Iris could see was his father losing the battle. Her mind was getting blank. She could feel certain dizziness. She saw him thrown by Alex and then everything around her froze. Her feet stumbled as her body leaned backward but a painful grip came to hold her at her place. Leonard gripped her cheek while standing behind her to let her look at the disaster with her own eyes.

"Stop it..... Please.... don't kill my dad...." She sobbed while speaking in a muffled voice.

"Why sweetheart. This is just the start. Alex....." He growled and all Iris could see was the grey wolf lying on the ground with the brown one on it. He was ready to finish him off when Iris grabbed the hand Leonard that was holding her waist.

"No......No..... Don't do this.....I...I would do whatever you say. Let him go....."

Leonard smirked looking at her condition and turned his gaze on Alex again to stop him.

"Alex.......stop....."

The brown wolf left her father and walked towards them. After a few seconds, all she could see was a bleeding grey wolf standing on the ground with lots of difficulties. The moment her eyes confirmed her father's living status she tried to run towards him. But a strong grip stopped her from moving in that direction, reminding her of the caged condition which she had just chosen a few seconds back.

"Wrong move bitch..." She heard it right behind her ears and a harsh grip grabbed her throat.

"Say goodbye to your dad....." Leonard hissed while motioning something to his men.
