The truth

"mom, I can explain?".

( I sorted out and Maria Jose gets her talons galloping into the kitchen).

Luckily, their attention was converted to the front door, when a man ambled in.

"Hello, Master Leonardo?".

(  he says soaring with a caustic look on his face, from a far distance, I watched them chatter, thereafter my presence gets called in by master Leonard)

He says, " Son, I need you to go with Mr. Omar here and inspect the ongoing construction going on at the company's new sight".

I took a quick nod and left with him ( Mr. Omar) after getting a chance to get clothed.

We drove to the construction site, mr Omar and I walked in and he gave me a rundown of what was going on.

While ambling further, a man walked rode in and accidentally crashed into me.

"Master Chris, are you okay?".

Mr. Omar raised a question, my eyes went off and I discovered that the man left a handwritten note with me.

I peeled out the paper and read through, " "come meet me at the coffee shop next to you if you want to know the truth?".

The strange written note got me a lot worried, what truth and who's the man.

Mr. Omar continued the tour and for some reason, I couldn't help but ponder the contents of the written note.

Thereafter, he went off to talk with the construction workers, and coming next I left to seek out the truth at the nearby coffee shop.

I got in and a man approached me.

" Hello, master Chris, the son of Leonardo woods".

Out of being cautious, I took a step back and declared to know more.

"Hi sir, but tell me who're you?".

My suspicion, however, got him smiling, he gestured we sat down to talk so I did pause to know more.

He finally breaks the silence after a while telling on the exact words I exhorted to hear.

He says and I quote, " hi, I'm Adamson smith, I worked for master Leonard for years but unfortunately, something urged me to stop!! Ask me what?".

"What sir?" ( maintaining a curious look I asked him, and he goes) "a long time ago, master Leonard married the love of his life, and after so many years of marriage, his wife wasn't able to get pregnant, they shared and prayed for a child, but when nothing came forth, master Leonard's wife pleaded with her husband to get married her best friend, and without having an option, he did and married the woman his wife asked him too".

( I kept quiet as he began again)

"Although master Leonardo got married again, the love he had for his first love got stronger than ever, the second wife got so envious of her friend and after while it was proved she was pregnant with master Leonardo's child, he had a feast, after a few months later, the second wife also expectant and that made master Leonardo very happy".

( he continued talking)

" Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and it did, nine months later, the first wife to master Leonard was sent to the delivery room to give birth to her child, and we all prayed for both the mother and the child, thus after few waiting hours the doctor came out and master Leonard hoped he would get a good new rather got the scare of his life when it was exposed that the child he was dying to meet, won't be coming anytime soon because he died at birth!!".

Mr. Adamson's confession got me thinking, why the fuck I'm I being told this?.
