Chapter 9- Teach her a lesson

Fifteen days had passed since Anna's arrival here. During her stay, she had the chance to meet Zarqa's parents, who welcomed her warmly.

Zarqa had wanted to tell her parents about it, but Anna had strongly discouraged her. She was afraid of him. Just the mention of Xavier's name was enough to make Anna's heart race with anxiety.

Lately, Anna had been feeling an overwhelming sense of heaviness. She would tire easily and struggle to eat properly.
