Chapter 4: Flavor of the Day

"Wow, Sam! Within just an hour, you attract the attention of the three most dreamboat students in our school!" Andrea teased while they were going back to their classes. They were already in their skirt and blouse uniform at that time.

Sam was just listening. Her mind was with the words her gorgeous young master said. She would go home with him in his luxurious car.

That's epic!

"At least, I don't need to squeeze myself inside of the bus today!" she uttered inwardly.

Then suddenly a strong shoulder bumped into her chest which made her fall to the ground.

"Ops! What the? You have two eyes, right?" Vanessa immediately freaked out.

Andrea who was walking a bit faster than Samantha halted when she heard Vanessa's voice. She turned around and saw Samantha slowly getting up while pushing herself from the ground. She hurriedly held her hands and helped her get up.

"Tell me what happened?" she said as she glanced at Vanessa.

Beside her were her bestfriends, Sylvia and Celine. They were chuckling while covering their mouths with their hands. They were in their PE uniforms which meant they would also play on the court.

Samantha who was still flabbergasted shook the dust off her bottom with her hands.

"It's okay, Andrea. It's not serious!" she smiled as she held Andrea's elbow but the latter was adamant to move.

"Let's go! We might be late!" she whispered.

When they were about to leave, Vanessa grabbed and pinched her arm. Samantha irked in pain.

"Hey, apologize to me!" she authoritatively said.

"What? Why would my friend apologize to you? You should be the one apologizing to her!" Andrea snorted.

She was not intimidated by Vanessa's haughtiness and arrogance at all.

"Stop meddling here, Andrea. You, apologize now!" she even pushed Samantha's shoulder which made her move backward.

"Hey! Stop it! One more and I will report you to the principal's office!" Andrea was now losing her patience.

"I'm sorry!" Samantha nonchalantly uttered.

"Apologize sincerely! Do you understand?" she even stressed those words onto her face like she was just squeezing an ant.

"I told you, that's enough!" Andrea pushed Vanessa away and went in between them shielding Samantha from her.

"What's going on here?" when a dominant voice sprang.

It was Albert. Beside him were his friends Chester and Edward striding in big steps. Their walk imposed some magnificent aura which made the girls they were approaching gape at them like they were bewitched. Except for Samantha who was looking down.

"Albert, this servant of yours hit my shoulder and she doesn't want to apologize sincerely!" Vanessa immediately clung her hands to his arm.

Samantha frowned.

Andrea twitched her lips and wrinkled her nose showing a grimaced look.

"Is that true?" Albert condescendingly asked Samantha who was startled as her shoulders bounced up.

"No! It's not true! Vanessa bumped into her and she fell to the ground!" Andrea spoke out.

When Edward checked her elbow, there were scratches which indicated she used her hand to pull her up.

"She didn't have these bruises a while ago!" he said while gently holding Samantha's elbow.

Albert frowned right away.

"Apologize properly to her!" he exclaimed with a deep resounding voice and stern face.

"Young Master?"

"Albert?"

"What?"

Samantha, Eddie, and Andrea were dumbstruck that they all replied in chorus.

"Are you deaf? I said apologize to her properly!" he even made her voice louder.

"Bro, I think it's not Sam's fault!" Chester also tried to defend Samantha who was already on the verge of tears while staring at Albert.

Vanessa and her friends were grinning from ear to ear.

"Yeah, I think so too!" Edward added.

"Stay away from this!" he warned his friends which made them heave a deep sigh of disbelief.

"Sam, are you alright?" Andrea asked softly.

Samantha's pursed lips were trembling as one tear dropped on her delicate cheek. She shifted her stare at Vanessa and bowed.

"I'm sorry, Young Mistress. It won't happen again!" she softly uttered.

"Hmp! Next time you bumped into me, I will report you to the principal's office!" Vanessa even snorted.

"Let's go, Sam!" Andrea held her back after giving Albert a dagger stare.

"Wow! That was harsh, bro!" Edward commented.

"I think you just hurt her feelings!" Chester seconded.

Albert didn't react. After giving Samantha a gaze, he turned around and left.

In the classroom, Samantha hid her tears from everyone except for Andrea. She kept her head bowed the whole period. Andrea glanced at her from time to time.

"Are you okay?" she then asked when their teacher left.

"Yes, I think I am fine, now. Thank you, Andrea!" Samantha bitterly smiled.

"It's lunchtime. Come with me. Seems like you can't protect yourself from those b*tches, yet. So, I will protect you from now on!"

They both chuckled afterward.

In the canteen, it was worse than what she had experienced outside of the building. Vanessa found her as the target of her 'disastrous day' again.

While queueing for their meal, she pushed Samantha's back.

"Hey, serve me my Coq Au Vin now!"

Samantha almost dropped the tray she was holding. When she turned around, she met Vanessa's taunting look.

"Didn't you hear me? I said, serve me my Coq Au Vin now!" she scoffed at her.

"Vanessa, maybe she doesn't know that food!" Sylvia sneered while Celine covered her mouth while chuckling.

Samantha remained quiet and just turned around. Andrea threw Vanessa and her friends a sharp stare. She went behind Samantha and glared at Vanessa.

"Leave her alone!" she exclaimed.

"What if we don't!" Vanessa raised her eyebrow as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"Do not test my patience, Vanessa!" she warned in a whisper.

"Hmp! Just because your father is the captain, you are already so brave to go against me!" she grunted.

"Let's just eat outside, girls. It's stinky here!" she scornfully said as she left the line. Her friends followed as they walked out of the canteen with an exaggerated swagger.

"You should learn to fight those b*tches. I will teach you!" Andrea whispered after.

Little did they know that three pairs of dark brown eyes were watching the entire scene.

"Your servant's daughter is so meek. I don't think she can survive here!" Edward shook his head while staring at Samantha.

"Then maybe, you can protect her!" Chester sneered while talking to Edward.

Albert was just quietly enjoying his food but their conversation never escaped his sensitive ears.

"Can I protect her, bro?" Edward then nudged his arm.

Albert felt annoyed that he dropped the cutlery on his plate and left.

"Bro, where are you going?" Chester asked while lifting his head gazing at Albert whose face suddenly became dim.

Albert ignored his question instead.

"Did I say something wrong?" Edward was also confused. But Chester just shrugged off.

At exactly 5 pm, their last period had finished.

However, it was already six but Albert was still waiting for her inside their Mercedes-Benz with their driver in the parking space.

"Where is she? Did I not tell her to go home with me today?" he frowned while asking inwardly.

"Really, so stupid!" he was already gritting his teeth.

What he hated the most was waiting. He was ill-tempered when it came to that situation. He slammed the Italian white leather of the backseat with his hand and roared at Andy who was also quietly waiting for his command.

"Call her now!" he said in a domineering tone.

"Young Master, Samantha doesn't have a phone!" Andy uttered.

"What? D*mn it! Call the mansion. Ask any people there if she already went home!"

"Yes, Young Master!" Andy obeyed immediately. He was also worried that Samantha was not with them yet.

Albert was just quietly observing Andy. He nodded and sometimes murmured then he hung up after.

"Young Master, Martha told me she called the mansion a while ago using her friend's phone. She had already taken the bus going to their village. It's Friday today, so she doesn't really go to the mansion on weekends!"

"What?" Albert exclaimed in anger. He had been worriedly waiting for her for an hour just to find out she already left the school.

"Bring me to their village!" he commanded while pursing his lips.

"Young Master, our village is about an hour's drive from here. It's almost half-past six!" Andy explained while looking at the rearview mirror.

Albert sighed out of frustration cursing Samantha in his thoughts.

"Wait till you come back to the mansion!" he muttered inwardly.

"Let's go then! I'm hungry!"

Andy stared at him in the rearview mirror first before he pushed the start button and drove off.

"Sam will have a h*ck of sufferings in the mansion when she gets back!" he mumbled in his thoughts while shaking his head.
