Chapter Thirty Seven

Hours later...

We've been walking for hours. The sky was so dark we had to use our wolf vision to tread through the thick forest. I was extremely tired and had to lean on Millicent as my support, who didn't seem at all.

It's not fair...we used to walk for days without rest..so what's happening now???...

Maybe it's cause we haven't done it in a while...

You're right...it's all Phoenix's fault...

My chest tightened at the mere thought of my mate. We'd lost contact hours ago, but it was like I could still here him whispering how much he missed me through our mind links. I sighed mentally and looked towards the other eight wolves in front of me. Trevor and Felix were walking further than the rest of us.

I smiled a bit at their great zeal to push forward. I was tired but I didn't want to let them down.
