Chapter Forty

DANNY

As I walked past rows and rows of tents, the smell of my mate drew closer and closer until I stopped in front of the one I had ordered to put them in.

Back at the border, I had smelt the most amazing scent but I couldn’t even take a look at her because I was focused on capturing Clover. And I was only able to see her back when they put her and the others in the tent.

I’d never thought of my mate before, neither have I ever imagined finding her. So her sudden appearance is quite shocking and uncalled for.

Standing in front of the tent alone made my palms sweaty and my heart beat faster. ‘If I was this nervous when I haven’t seen her face, what would happen when I do?’ is what I thought as I reached out to open the tent...just a little more and I’ll see her face....
