I jump out of bed as the sun rises like I do every morning, but for some reason, I have a good feeling about today. I quickly make my way over to the tub that is full of cold water. I take a deep breath and jump in. I quickly wash and then get out and get ready for my day of chores.

I exit out of the bedroom and into the kitchen, where my mother has already started on the day's bread and pastries. She wasn't the baker, but everyone loved her cooking, so the baker asked if she was willing to provide him with some. She received payments for them, of course. I sing and dance around the kitchen, helping her where ever she needed me until it was time for me to go to school.
