We then walk out of the hospital, over to the pack house and as we walk up the stairs, I look sideways at Ava and ask,

“Do you have anything that I can take to stop the roll of my stomach? I don’t think it would look good for me to be running to the restroom every few minutes…”

“Yeah, I have something that should work for tonight, at least.”

“Thank you.”

When we get to Zachariah’s office, I tap on the door and walk in. Zechariah smiles and says,

“So what can I do for you beautiful females?”

“Um… Did you know that the Doctor is charging pack members for consults and treatment? And that if they don’t, he is saying that there is nothing that he can do for them?”

I watch as Zachariah’s eyes go wide with shock. He then pulls himself together and says,

“What makes you say this?”

“Do you know Cassie and Brandon from the dress shop in town?”

“Yes, they are under the care of their grandmother as their parents were killed in a rogue attack protecting the pack. What about them?”
