“Anak hindi ka ba sasama sa meeting meeting ng partido ng kuya mo?”

Huminto ako sa pakikipag-usap kay Faye nang marinig ko ang sinabi ni Mommy. Bihis na bihis ito at mukhang may lakad din siya ngayong araw.

Umiling naman ako.

“I have to go to the office to start my work.” I said, smiling to her.

Umayos siya sa pagkakatayo at mataman akong pinagmasdan.

“Today is a very important event for your older brother, Ira. I appreciate and I’m sure Isaac will appreciate if you will come.”

Napaisip naman ako. Mommy is right. This event is so important to my brother. I remember him telling us about it days ago. I can see the excitement in his eyes and hear the happiness in his voice. Kung hindi ako pupunta, sigurado akong magtatampo iyon sa akin. But I have a problem. If I come, posibleng makita ko si Sandro. But I’m not sure if he’s coming though.

“Is Sandro coming?”
