Chapter - 4

Naitee's Pov.:-

I didn't realise when the afternoon turned into evening. My hand is aching badly as I haven't left my pen for a single second since I came home. After having my lunch I am sitting at this same spot doing his work. My body is aching for being in this stiff posture for so long. I want to have a small nap but I have to go to Payal's house to study. She needs my help with maths homework while I need her help with English grammar.

My tired eyes went to the wall clock and snapped wide when I saw I am running fifteen minutes late. God! Payal must be wondering about me.

Changing into decent clothes which is nothing especially just plain trousers with a t-shirt. I went to Payal's house which is ten minutes walk away from my house. She lives in the same colony as me but surprisingly we never met before.

Knocking on the door two times I wait patiently for someone to answer it. My wait came to halt when I saw a guy nearly my age open the door. He is looking similar to Payal no doubt he must be her brother. Probably elder brother.

" Yes, who do you want to meet? " he asked politely.

" Hello, I am Naitee. I am Payal's friend " I said with a broad smile as he nodded his head with a smile and said " Oh, Naitee. She is waiting for you inside. Come in, I will escort you to her room "

" By the way, I am Aditya, Payal's twin brother " his words surprised me and forced me to have second look at his face.

" Impossible," I said in pure surprise but he nodded his head making me believe in him.

" But Payal didn't tell me about it " I hushed but I think they heard me as her voice came to my ears which was " because I didn't get the opportunity to let you know about it. Later on, I thought that I will introduce you to my brother when you will come to my house and see you meet him. "

" By the way, he is three minutes younger than me," Payal said pulling Aditya's ear causing him to whine like a toddler calling for mom.

" Stupid mom is not at home " Payal teased her brother looking a completely different person than school. At school, she was a scared deer and in her house, she is looking no less than a lion bullying her younger brother who is so sweet that he is playing along with her.

" Okay, that's enough. You rest and let us study " Payal dismissed her brother and took me to her bedroom. Her bedroom was so beautiful that I couldn't stop myself from touching her bedroom's wall. She told me her brother is the one who has painted the beautiful scenery. He is good at art. He has painted the walls like a blossoming forest and waterfall on the middle wall.

" God! Payal, your bedroom is so beautiful. I love it " I said bringing my hand to my mouth to control myself while my eyes shine in joy.

" Thanks " She let out holding my hand causing me to hiss and moan at the same time as she squeezed it later on making me feel good.

" What's wrong? " She questioned studying my hands.

" It's nothing serious. My right hand is hurting badly. Did you forget? He gave me all his work to do. So I was doing his work before coming here  " I let out laying on her bed to which she too joined me.

" Did you complete it? " she questioned be facing me.

" I am human not any superwoman who can complete two weeks work in a single day and I have started. Sadly, I think I can't do it in just one day. Moreover, I have my homework too " I whine to which she sighed resting her hand over mine.

" Did you take his notebook here to work? "  She questioned. Her question makes me nod my head as yes.

" That's wonderful then. Give me that devil's notebook I will help you in completing his work. " She let out. Rather than studying our syllabus, we both started to do his work. That prude must be enjoying his evening after ruining ours.

*knock* *knock*

" You guys must be tired. I brought some snacks for you " Aditya said showing his broad smile. I smiled brightly looking at the potato and spinach pakoras with tomato ketchup and ginger tea. I and Payal, we both closed our notebooks and put them aside.

" So, kind of you Aditya," I said taking one piece of pakora. Proud Aditya pulls up his collars making both of us laugh at his cuteness. I love pakoras. The sweet and tangy flavour of potato melted over my tongue. Later on, I felt chill in my mouth as these snacks are spicy. The way I prefer.

" Thanks, beautiful but call me Adi just Adi, " Aditya said in his playful voice earning a light punch on his shoulder from his sister. Payal rolled her eyes when Adi dramatically laid on the floor faking he is injured badly. 

" Stop it. Don't fly so high. These snacks are okay but not that best in front of my cooking " Payal teased her brother who puffed his cheeks in fake anger after sitting up properly. The whole time my smile didn't slip away. But Payal's words surprised me. He is a guy and he made them. Seriously!

" What you made it? Unbelievable" I let out in pure surprise because these snacks are indeed delicious.

" Yes I made them, " Aditya replied coolly joining us in eating pakoras.

" You will become a great cook. I am telling you. These pakoras are awesome. I love them. I hope the next time I will come you will make them for me " I said to Adi who smiled and said " Thanks Naitu. My cooking is booked for you and I can call you Naitu right? "

" Of course, you can " I confirmed him.

" What happened to your leg? " I questioned when my eyes went to the injury marks over his leg.

" I fall and broke this leg but now it's fine so I can join you guys in school from tomorrow" Aditya let out to which Payal tensed up a little probably she still thinks he need rest.

" You studies in the same school! Surprise after surprise. By the way, in which section you are?  " I questioned him.

" Section B " His reply made me happy.

" Then we will be in the same class. I can't believe it. We both are in the same class but never met. Well, it has been only a week to me since I joined the school " I explained to him and after that, he went to his bedroom saying he has work to do.

" See you guys in the morning. Till then good night and goodbye " I wished them good night and left Payal's house.

Coming home, I went to my room and started to do his work. I had my dinner and again started to do his work. My eyes are heavy and betraying me by closing.

My willpower turned into ashes as sleep consume me however I have completed his work but didn't put a cover over any of them. I know he gonna kill me for sure but If I don't go to my bed then the headache will kill me.

" Naitee! Naitee! " I heard someone yelling my name from afar end in the darkness. My hands automatically went to my ears and covered them causing me to lose myself in the wonderland.

" Naitee! Naitee! Wake up. Wake up fast. You are getting late for your school " these words ringed a bell in my subconscious self. An unknown, fear broke into me causing me to jolt up from my bed and stand on my feet only to stumble.

Opening my eyes I found my mother before me. Frown over her forehead telling me she is worried for me as probably I am looking worst due to lack of sleep. I remember clearly, I slept three in the night and currently, it's 5:45 in the morning.

" What happened? Are you alright? If you want to take a rest then don't go to school " my mother said. Well, don't be surprised by her words. She loves me a lot and it's her care which is speaking right now.

" No, mom. I am good. Just need a refreshing bath " I explained and went to the bathroom. I got ready fifteen minutes early and put a cover over his notebooks and wrote his name over the name slip. As always my mother proves herself as my lifesaver by waking me up on time.

After having my breakfast I left my house taking my bike. I ride it to Payal's house where I found Adi taking out his bike while Payal's was already out. Looking at me he wished me good morning and I did the same. Soon Payal too join us and together we trio went to school. She asked me about Maverick's work to which I told her I have completed it and she looked relieved for me. 

We parked our bikes beside each other and locked them. Payal bid us goodbye moving to her locker while I and Adi went to the other end of the locker. We both put our stuff inside our locker and surprisingly no one dare to bully me today. I think Adi is lucky for me. Since I met him and Payal, bullying is cut out from my life.

" We still have a few minutes before assembly. Let's go I will give you a tour. Payal let's go " I said as today is Adi's first day. Payal had told me about it. We walked together and I felt a few heated gazes on me which I ignored. We put our bags on our benches and Adi chose to sit with me for which I welcomed him with open arms.

After that, we trio roam the whole campus and went to assembly. We sit together and was waiting for our class to start. Adi went to the washroom before the class starts making me chuckle.

The class went silent as if they saw a lion before them. My curious eyes stopped at them A4M. All of them approach my desk and stood around me.

" I assume you complete my work " his words caused me to go into action. I opened my bag to take out the notebook but found none. My bows touched each other in confusion. I remember clearly. I have put them here only then where did they go?

" What happened? " he questioned boring holes into my head.

" Did you complete it or not? " He questioned sounding pissed with me.

" Senior I have completed it but I am not finding the notebooks. " I said to which he snatched my bag from me and empty it on the floor. My eyes moistened at his behaviour but like always I didn't sob.

He searched his notebooks but didn't find them. I bite my lip looking at his pissed face. He took my notebook and tear it into two parts. His body language is yelling that he is not in his sense. Anger has fogged his sanity. He didn't stop there and repeat his act with my other three notebooks. He tore my four notebooks. He tore every paper of the notebook on which I have written my work and notes. Other than gasping and getting hurt by his act I did nothing. I was on the verge of crying when he slapped the torn papers of my notebook on my face taking me off guard by his humiliating act.

One tear betrayed me by sliding out of my left eye and falling to soak into my blazer. That damage was nothing for him as he snatch away my glasses from my face and broke them too crushing them under his foot. Only gasps were heard in the class. His eyes never broke eye contact with mine. My eyes were begging him to not do more damage while his eyes were blind in a fury of anger.

" I fucking hate liars girl. Next time dare to disobey me I wouldn't mind burning your school bag and one more thing. I want my notebooks and Adinew's before this day overs " He warned leaving me there not sparing any glance at me.

I knelt before my laying stuff and collect my things. My glasses are not any more useful so I dumped the broken frame in the dustbin. My chin trembles ready to let a sob out of my mouth as I saw my hard work is torn apart and not useful to me anymore. Relief is that the work was only a month so, I can do it again but the damage is a good lesson to me to not trust him.

" What happened here? Who did it? " Adi questioned me when he entered inside the class. I was not in the condition to answer him so, I just ignore him. Sighing at me he helped me in collecting my stuff.

" Good morning teacher " I heard my classmates voice wishing the teacher. After that, we study silently. The whole time Adi pressure me to answer his questions but I didn't open my mouth. Soon it was lunchtime when everyone left and Payal came into the class.

" Let's go to have lunch " Adi let out rubbing his stomach. A small smile came to my lips when I saw his childish act.

" Yea, let's go," I said dryly.

But before going there I took my lunch box with me and followed them. We took food in our tray and went to sit on the last bench. Everything was going peacefully when I saw them coming into the cafeteria.

" Naitu, this ladyfinger is so delicious. Tell your mom I have become a fan of her cooking " Adi's words made me look at him and forget about those bullies. Adi's back is facing them that's why he didn't notice them.

Forgetting everything I laughed out loud at Adi when he took my whole tiffin box to him and Payal slapped his hand away to get some food from my tiffin as he covered it with his hands stopping her from getting anything from the box.

" Well, well, what's the joke this boy told you at which you are laughing so much? " Maverick snapped at me killing my smile away from my face. My face frowned when their eyes froze at Adi and Adi looked at them pretty mad.

" You," they said together. A4M looked at Adi and Adi looked at them with the same shock as them.

" What a surprise break leg " Adinew taunt lazily hitting Adi's back of the head making him woah like a wolf in fury. Payal holds Adi's hand to stop him however her efforts went into the drain.

" You! " Adi let out before jumping on Adinew and showering punches over his good fix jaw to change its geography. I and Payal, we both just screamed in horror requesting Adi to stop who probably became deaf in fury. We both were so shocked to react.

Later on, in the snap of seconds, Adi was pulled up by Aarush from Adinew who wasn't looking hurt or affected by any punches of Adi. Adinew smirked when Anurag, Aarush and Avian pulled Adi down on his knees and make him face Adinew who was standing before him with raw eggs in his hands which a student pass him on his order. Probably he got it from the cafeteria kitchen. Meanwhile, Maverick is standing near Adinew with his cellphone recording the show. They are sick!

Payal was quick to respond before me. She pushed Adinew away which lead him to fall on the girl who was sitting on the bench looking at the drama. The eggs break in all this and the raw content ruins both of their clothes.

Back to Payal, after pushing Adinew away she pushed Avian who leave Adi followed by Aarush and Anurag.

" Dare anyone of you to harm my brother! I will complain you all to the principal " Payal warned them looking a completely different person. That's what happens when we lose our mind in anger we look different.

" Brother!? " five surprised whispers followed after Payal's words. We saw the A4M members having similar pale face shock written over them.

We didn't say anything and helped Adi to get up. We made him sit on the bench and I gave him a glass of water to drink which he accept. He is trembling badly. Probably, afraid or burning in fury.

" Glassy rabbit! How dare you push me and what you said you will complain of us to the principal. Then go, ahead! Who is stopping you? " Adinew let out sounding very pissed after recovering from the shock threatening Payal with his proximity. Payal took steps back making Adi pull between them which made Adinew push him aside.

" First of all, I am not a rabbit and second is he is my brother so to save him from another bully incident I pushed you. You all have broken his leg once and because of that, we take him out from that school so that he wouldn't experience it again but you all followed him here as well. So, even if the principal not gonna help us here then that's fine because God will do the justice " Payal let out pushing her tears back in glassy eyes.

" God will do the Justice! " Aarush mimic in Payal's tone making his other friends chuckle and make fun of us.

What? They used to bully Adi back in their previous school and now they are all again in the same school all by coincidence. I am shocked would be an understatement. I am in a dilemma of what to say and how to react to this disclosure. As it's not the right moment to question Payal or Adi I chose to shut my curiosity.

" I hate you all " Payal let out while I side hug her supporting her. They all are so cruel.

" As if any one of us dying to fall for a bimbo like you. Who will fall in love with you two? Look at yourselves in the mirror all fatty, ugly body, ugly hair, ugly duckling faces, always smelling like rotten eggs. Even if you look at yourselves in the mirror I can guaranty the mirror will break apart into pieces after getting a reflection of your horrible self " Maverick's harsh words directly hit me hard in my heart deeply. I don't know what Payal's reaction was but I just want the earth to swallow me to save me from this humiliation. My moist eyes made contact with Payal's, her eyes are coating the same as mine. His humiliation was not enough that his friends and other students laughed and made fun of our chubby body. Some of them mocked me for having braces. Well, they probably don't know that braces are temporary. They will be removed soon.

We both looked at the guys, I especially looked at Maverick who smirked at my reaction swallowing hard with a clenched fist. So, Adinew behaviour was exact as Maverick.

" What did you say about them? Huh? And who are you to give them a certificate of their looks? These both girls here are beautiful in their own way. It's your problem if none of you has eyes to see the diamond over mere stones " Adi let out holding our hands to drag us with him. Adi's words touched my heart and genuinely a small smile formed over my lips which Maverick noticed. I felt satisfied when my eyes registered his clenched jaw and ugly frowned face looking not at all happy with Adi's words.

" Where are you taking them? Hold a second. Give me back my notebooks and Adinew's as well. " Maverick stopped us by clutching my wrist giving bruises to it besides my hand is already hurting due to writing his work which I don't know went where? Only his notebooks are not missing, he had given me Adinew's notebooks to copy work from them which are also missing with his. Oh, God! What a mess I am in!

" I don't know where it is? You have given me to do your work which I did. But it's not my fault that someone stole them from my bag. " he cut me off to say.

" You mean to say it's my fault? " he snapped angrily twisting my wrist. My face frowned in distress and pain. There is a half hand distance between us but it's enough for me to get a shiver down my spine.

" Yes, it's your fault. Rather than doing your work on your own, you gave it to your junior " I snapped back. I don't know from where I got this much courage but ya I did that. He is so stupid. Rather than searching his and his friend's notebooks he is yelling at me. I am sure someone has stolen them because before leaving the classroom with Adi and Payal I had checked the notebooks in my bag. At that time they were there then how can they disappear on their own. Someone has stolen them from my bag but who? I don't know!

" Rick! Tell her to give me back my notebooks. If she can't then do my whole work as an apology or else? " Adinew said to Maverick putting salt on the situation earning glares from me, Payal and Adi.

" Or else what? She isn't going to do. Do what you can do. We are not scared of you " saying so Adi yanked Maverick's hand away from my wrist and took us with him for which we both thanked him.
