Chapter 7

I never got to tell him thank you since he didn't return that day, or the next, for about a week he wasn't around and I tried to use the opportunity to sneak into his room but it was impossible without the key.

He locked the door of his room and nobody in the entire house including his mother don't have a spare.

I decided to give up hope for the time being and focus more on the baby growing gradually in me, I was already starting to get tired and stressed, though it was still at it's early stage.

I got ready for shopping, not for myself but for the baby. I know it was too early for that but Beatriz insisted that we get baby clothes regardless, her reason was because she wanted to feel like a baby was coming into the house.

My choice to go with the flow of things by letting her decide was just the only way I could stay neutral with the entire situation, if this is how she wanted to go through with everything then I don't have a say rather I chose to extend my focus on trying to find the lost pages to Elizabeth diary or letter which was torn up by someone close to her.

I was really eager to know but with all this morning sickness, nervousness that I feel trying to sneak into Damon's room and all the tension, all were really making me feel nauseous so I chose to stay off until today.

After the entire shopping of which we shopped for both the baby and some maternity dresses for me, I waited for an opportunity to sneak into Beatriz room to find a master key that she might be holding onto of which no one knows of.

My heart was really beating fast as I opened the room to her door after she had left to check up on all their dogs. I made sure to be observant as needed incase if she probably walked in. I started off with the drawer in her beside cupboard and then I checked under her pillows before I arranged them in the proper way possible.

All efforts went in vain when I noticed that I had spent fifteen minutes searching with my armpits dripping sweat underneath, the door to her room also creaked open and so I had to find a place to hide.

I was a bit slow in finding out a hideout for myself which was why I winded up at the back of the curtain which was the riskiest place to hide.... ever.

Beads of sweat continuously drops from my forehead down to my eyes before it fell to my chin, I pressed my lips into a tight position tasting the salty sweat lying on it. I slowly shifted the curtain to see who it was that had entered the room.

Lo and behold, Xander stood at the wardrobe and searched desperately for something that looked like a couple of documents. He laid them on Beatriz's bed before he opened each and everyone one of them and put in a key in one of them.

In each file there was a key labelled with something on it, Xander closed all of them before he returned them back to the place they we're found and left the room innocently.

After the coast was clear I came out to check the wardrobe to see where he had found those files which had the keys in them but the place was empty.

I knocked on the floor board in the wardrobe and notice it was hollow. "Let me go get my debit card" I heard Beatriz say, she sounded close but not so close. Before I could finally get caught, I rushed out of the room firmly closing the door so she won't have to suspect.

I ran back to my room and breathed in and out while wondering what Xander needed a key for, I really needed to see the label of the key he used.

I never got the time to access the who are issue because I heard Beatriz welcome someone home so I went out to see who it was. He was not someone that I haven't seen before though this time he looked a little cheerful even though I could point out how fake the smile was.

There was someone by his side, a slender and beautiful lady who had her hair tied in a bun and she wore what could be pointed as a primitive glasses which stuck on her face and belittles her beauty, she raised her head up to admire the entire mansion..... Yeah, it's huge is it not? I would've asked if I was standing next to her.

She said nothing, she stood there like a statue until Damon turned to her and told her she could leave.

I did not leave where I stood even when Damon came up to his room, he didn't even bother looking at my face, he just walked straight to his room even though I said hi.

I still wanted to tell him thank you for the other day he did me a favor which change a little bit of my perception about him.

He came out of his room looking furious and angry about something. "I need you downstairs" was what he said to me even after ignoring, I followed him downstairs, turns out I wasn't the only one he needed downstairs.

Beatriz, Xander, the security guards, maids and cooks, they all gathered around as Damon sat at a chair crossing his legs as his fingers stride at the bridge of his nose.

"I would like to know...." He closed his eyes and heaved a sigh. "Who went into my room?" His question was direct and I notice Beatriz face changed.

I know it was too early to apportion blames to anyone but I actually suspect Xander, he had a key earlier even I had no idea what the key was used for and I also had Beatriz in mind cause she had different set of keys and there was a possibility that one of them opens Damon's room and with the way her facial expression changed.......

"I saw Miss Priscilla going into your room"
