Everything happened in a blur; Conrad had made sure to get Kruz’s body away before I even opened my eyes. Clara, on the other hand, tried her best to free herself. I could see her struggle, her agony on not being able to perform magic.
I wanted her to feel every bit of the pain she has inflicted on me. I wanted her to know how to it feels to be helpless. Tears continued to stream down her face, and surprisingly enough, I did not feel upset seeing her that way.
