Chapter 72 - Party Attack
SKYLER'S POV
I sigh and make my way around the party, letting the pups and everyone that I pass know that the food is ready and they can help themselves whenever they are hungry. I sit on the back porch, resting my feet for a minute, and watch as Cole continues to play with all the pups.
I feel a little guilty and a little sad as I watch him now play and think about what he would have been like with them if that night had gone a different way. I slide my hand over my belly and wonder what he would have been like if he had been with me through Samuel and Emma's pregnancy.
I open my mate links as I feel both Elijah and Nathan send down a tug.

SKYLER'S POV After my session with Greta and finding out that Alexander and her, are now expecting their first pup. I think back on Samuel and Emma, Marcus and Claire and then the twins I just lost and the joy we all felt at adding to our family, but that memory is now tinged with sadness. SKYLER'S POV It's been a week since Harper put the dampener on my fear of that night with Cole and everything has more or less returned to normal the only thing is that it didn't quite work how we wanted it to as yes the fear was reduced but even the thought of being alone with him raises that fear. I actually haven't seen him for a few days. I am heading to the office to see if Elijah or Nathan knows where he is. Once outside the office, I knock on the door and open it slightly.
