Assassin's Daughter
Assassin's Daughter
Author: Irene Davison (Esperanza)

Prologue

She was lying there on the floor. Her hands were tied behind and her legs were secured with a chain. Three men were standing in front of her. One of them had the calmest expression on his face as if he was watching the best artistic creation of this world. Then another man holding a gun was affected enough by the irritation that he chose to ignore the situation and looked away.

The third but not the least had a separate grin on his face. After all, he was the one who got her pinned down easily and brought there as a piece of prize to offer to his boss.

"So she is the one?" The calmest man spoke.

"Yes. As per the document and her words." The second man holding the gun confirmed.

The girl lying there didn't speak a word just kept her eyes fixed on the calmest one. There was no turmoil in his dark gaze but her eyes left no stone unturned to erupt the lava of her hatred. If his eyes spoke the language of darkness, her green hues threw massive determination of her rage.

"What an arrangement of destiny." He laughed a little making everyone flinch. As they say, Russians don't laugh, here the most intimidating man just laughed.

"So, can we......" The third man couldn't finish when the lead interrupted giving the final verdict.

"No..... She would be my prisoner only. I will mold her as per my wish." His thin smile didn't go unnoticed by the girl or the man who happened to be his right hand, standing beside him with an annoyed face.

"You would die..... " She spoke spitting venom on his words showing the most hateful expression and fire of her anger.

"I can never be your prisoner......." She added again kicking the nearby small object that was placed on the ground.

"Of course you are... You will be my prisoner as long as I am alive." His dry laugh hit the nerves of her and his men but they chose to be silent unlike her.

"Then I would make sure you would die in my hand." She was left with the fire she carried within her when she entered that death trap without knowing the severity of the situation.

"You have only one choice. Kill me and earn your freedom."

He chuckled throwing a glare at her compromised situation.

"You......"

"Shhh.....save it....... We have a lot more to do....."

He turned his back and walked away towards the door. Slamming the door shut he came out with his other two men and stood at a distance. Loosening his tie a little he motioned his finger to tell the other one to leave the place. He needed only his right hand, Igor, at that moment and nobody else. They always had an understanding that nobody understood.

"Let her go......" He knew only Igor dared to say something but he had never thought of killing him for his proactive words.

"No......." He denied bringing out a cigar to his mouth.

"She is too young... Just a teenager......" Igor massaged his temple looking at the documents he had once in his hand while passing the Zippo to lit his cigar. He tried to convince his boss who was in a different world since the girl barged inside his life.

"That doesn't change her identity. She is still the Assassin's Daughter."
