GALINA POV

THE NEXT FEW days blew by in a blur of exhaustion and confusion. Like always, the occurrence of the sports fest was never talked off. Just like everything that had gone with the wind, nobody talked of those who had seizure episodes during the fest, and what the siren had been of. Because I tell you, that siren was no ordinary.  And no one literally cared about the collateral damage it caused and those who got hurt. 

It was as if nothing happened, and everything was all merry, up and about!

On a serious note, I didn’t know whether I should be awed by the level of “mind your own damn business” these people had or freak out because people disappeared day in and day out and nobody seemed to give a shit or two about it. And that was totally disquieting.

I also stopped being the talk of the town, my days slowly sunk back into the routined pattern where I got up with a start, went to school, then to the library, and just buried my
