DISAPPOINTING MOMENTS

With one hand in his pocket, he stood in front of the glass wall in his office, drinking coffee as he looked into the ever busy Lagos road.

Deep down, he was thinking about her, his peasant wife. He had seen the look on her face when he stepped out for work this morning. She wasn't wearing her usual cheerful smile, and her face was quite cold.

He knew it was something related to last night and a smile appeared on his face. He couldn't believe he would get his usual breakfast at work, and somehow, he felt guilty for treating her so badly. But she needed to leave anyway, he thought as he turned back and walked towards the desk.

He heard his phone ringing on the desk and he sighed in frustration as he saw his father's name on the caller ID.

"Adrian," Mateo called in a strong voice as the call was answered.

"Yes," he answered grumpily as he dropped the mug on the table.

"What did you do, you son of a bitch?" He asked in a slow but angry tone.
