THE DISCOVERY

She hurried out of the passage and climbed onto the balcony where she stood, pacing around. She could have been caught by Amelia, thank God for the tea story, she thought as she gave a sigh. She reached for her phone and looked around carefully before dialing the number.

"Alex, it's Nat. I found a drawer which is tightly locked and I can't find the key to it. I have a strong feeling that what we are looking for is right in there," she said in whispers.

"Did you search all the nooks and crannies?" She asked from the phone.

"Yes I did and she almost bumped into me in the act," she related anxiously.

"Search her bags, her personal bag. The one she moves with often. It's got to be in there," she assured.

"Um, okay," she muttered uneasily.

"Nat, you need to be fast. Since she almost caught you in the act there is no way she won't have her suspicions. You need to act quickly to lay your hand on that envelope before she moves it out of its place," she said.
