Date Day

The area we were now in hadn’t been too far a trek away from the resort, but I understood now why Jay had suggested walking shoes. It was a secluded little area within our part of the forest, with tall cliffs to keep us protected and a medium waterfall that fell into a large pool and small stream that led elsewhere into the forest. It was a perfect spot for a date for anyone who wanted to be alone.

I gazed down into the pool, wondering how deep the water went. It was almost crystal clear, but I couldn’t see the bottom at all, at least not from where I was standing. Closer to the stream, it was shallower, so I imagined we would stick closer to that area, but I couldn’t help but imagine what might be down into the depths.
