"You're staring at the clock for fifteen minutes straight, Mr Scott. Is anything wrong?" Dr Patricia speaks.

"Is there anything right, Patricia?" I ask, blinking slowly as my eyes burn— the result of not blinking straight for fifteen minutes.

That's what Patricia said. I don't remember the duration. I hear her sighing deeply. She has been doing it more frequently. Each time Patricia lets out a sigh, I feel a part of my life dissolving.

My daughter is dying!

It's indeed killing me every time Chrisanna tries to breathe. She needs a nanosecond more than us to breathe, she needs to give an effort to breathe. It feels like someone has pressed my throat tightly, shoving me to death each time I watch her suffering.

"Annalyn, please bring Chrisanna", Patricia says.

I immediately shake my head and look at the mirror beside me, forcing a smile. This has been a regular habit. How can I even smile when two precious parts o
