Chapter 39 : Guarding her

Thea getting involved with Christian at work is the most unexpected thing for me. I have already started having weird vibes. But I can't let Christian know about this. I don't want him to think I'm insecure or I'm being unreasonable. I won't do any such thing which gradually makes him annoyed by me. I gulp down and drop my gaze.

"Emily said not to hire her. So, they just got into an argument", Christian says.

I don't know how to reply to this. Why am I feeling this way? I should not. I should never. I know how much he loves me then why such insecurity is killing me this way?

Thea is married too. She has kids. Why would she even do anything wrong?

Undoubtedly, I'm being way too unreasonable. I need to fix my head anyway.

Christian clears his throat, bringing me out of my thoughts. I squirm on his lap and pull a small smile.

"Emily is crazy", I laugh. "This is not a thing to argue over"

"Well, an argument between them means she was shouting at him. One-Sided", I roll my eyes
