Chapter 40 : Say it out

After preparing lunch for everyone, I come into the room and find Emily reading Chrisanna and Eric Harry Potter. All three are inside the blanket, digging their faces into that single book. The scenario is quite funny and cute at the same time. I chuckle walking inside.

They still haven't noticed me.

"Are you guys gonna finish this whole series today?" I ask with a giggle.

They all lift their heads exactly at the same moment.

Emily enlarges her eyes right away. "Ugh! No. My jaw already hurts", she touches her cheek.

"Then try to fight less", I laugh. She curls up a dirty look and slams the book shut.

"Emmy! More", Eric shakes her.

"Yes. More", Chrisanna jumps on the bed, pushing her knees.

"Lord! I really can't anymore because I'm sick of reading this for years. Go—" she slams the book into Eric's hand. "Um— ask Kane to read you"
