Chapter 48 : Sneak Peek

I gawk at Christian in disbelief after he slams the chair aggressively on the floor. He's shaking, anticipation covering his face, and as he looks up at me, I find him breathing heavily with his helpless eyes calming down. I don't find words to speak as it's been a long time since I have seen him in such an aggressive mood. It was when I told him about Adrian. The last time when I saw him being so damn aggressive to slam things around. It's definitely been years.

I can sense the intensity of the reason behind his action and walk inside. He lets out a deep sigh, turning his face aside.

I stumble upon the chair and bend over to lift it. Slowly putting it aside, I walk towards him near the large window. He's looking down at the streets.

Reaching closer to him, I hold his shoulder. He's still looking down and breathing heavily.

"Are you alright?" I whisper.

He shakes his head. "No"
