When I reach home, I find John back at home.

"You came back?" I scoff rolling my eyes but he's too busy with Ryan's marksheet.

"I'm so proud of you, Ryan. And Kevin, you too. You improved a lot. From 65% to 73%. Too good", John says.

"Thanks, dad"

After talking for a while, they move back to their rooms and Tiffany follows them.

"Why are you staring at me?" John says as he finally gets a chance to look at me.

"Nothing", I cross my arms. "Just wondering how you remember their marks"

"Well, I have only two kids. It's not hard to remember about them", he grins.

It feels like a taunt. "What do you wanna say? I don't care about my boys?"

He pauses and sighs. "You know what, Thea? You take everything in the wrong way. Even if I'm casually talking to you, you feel like I'm taunting you. Let's not talk if it's not too necessary"

He shakes his head.

"And yeah, I heard what you asked me. I came back early because Mr. Scott couldn't make it to the meeting. He has some urgency at home"
