"I took an entire day off because you wanted to spend time with me. But I don't think you're in a good mood", John says, looking at the TV screen.

I'm sitting beside him on the long couch and his hand is placed on my shoulder. There's barely any gap between us. In fact, I'm half-seated on his lap. After the kids left this morning with Tiffany for school, I asked John to manage to take a day off so we can enjoy a movie. I couldn't take myself out of those thoughts. And I knew if I again invest all my time in everything other than my family, I won't get another chance to fix it all, the way I got right now.

It's been an hour since we began watching a film and I was kind of invested in that until something came up inside my head again.
