The Story of the Poor Princess

There's a reason why Sena doesn't like fairy tales about princesses and princes. Or rather, she hates any story about a love that ends happily ever after. For her, all those stories are unrealistic, because almost all of them end in the beautiful wedding that many people dream of. Without thinking what might happen after the word 'happily ever after'. A story does not end there! Everything will continue and and those damn fairy tale writers sometimes forget to write down the continuation of the story. They are too excited to write beautiful love stories and put them in the heads of children who often hear fairy tales before going to bed. While in reality, not everything ends like that! Because Sena is a living witness who saw how a story of 'happily ever after' ended with 'deep sorrow until death is much better than life'.

In a fairy tale that she witnessed with her own eyes, the one who played the role of the princess was her own mother, Miranda Wijaya. A daughter of a mining entrepreneur who lives in abundance of love and luxury. Even though Miranda had lost her mother who died right after giving birth to her, Miranda never felt lonely or lacked love at all. it is because she had a father who loved her very much. Her father, who is a super busy businessman, always tries to make time for Miranda, bestowing his attention and protection so that Miranda doesn't have to worry about anything that happens on this earth. She lives in sparkling, colorful and warm world. But, even though she grew up in a world full of glittering luxury, Miranda didn't necessarily become arrogant. She actually has a nice and fun personality. She never discriminated against someone's social status or belittled others. To her, all humans are the same.

Until finally, when Miranda grew up and started her life as a university student, she chose to get out of the warm blanket that surrounded her world. She tries to live an independent life by separating herself from her father. Of course, Mr. Morgan Wijaya felt sad when his favorite daughter decided to live independently. But Miranda, who really understands her father, tries hard to convince him and said that she did all that just to practice her survival skills. No matter what happens, she is still her father's little daughter and will always come back to her father's side. Seeing the sincerity of his daughter, Mr. Morgan finally melted. He decided not to interfere with Miranda's life choices, just watching her in silence and smiling proudly whenever he saw her daughter do something great.

Miranda's campus life runs smoothly. Her friendly and pleasant demeanor certainly makes many people like her. In fact, because of her popularity, Miranda has the nickname 'the goddess of the campus' and even has a fan base. The changes that occur in Miranda's life are getting bigger as her graduation day approaches. She meets a man who makes her heart beat so fast. Even for the first time, she saw butterflies flying in her eyes, and it happened when she saw a man named Jonathan Salim, an ordinary man who is a waiter at a coffee shop near her campus. Their meeting can be said to be very dramatic, even like scenes in romantic dramas that often make women jump while saying “Oh my god! So sweet!"

In fact, every time someone asked her about how she first met Jonathan, Miranda's eyes would lit up, then she would excitedly tell a beautiful story about their meeting that seemed destined by heaven. She first met Jonathan on a street leading to her boarding house. At that time, Miranda who was quite active in campus organizations often came home late at night.

One night, Miranda who usually went home with her friends had to go home alone because her friends still had to stay on campus because of important matters. Actually, Miranda didn't really have a problem if she had to go home alone. After all, the road she was taking was quite bright even though it was very quiet. But maybe that night she was unlucky because the street lamp that usually illuminates the road suddenly broke, forcing her to walk in the dark by relying on the light from her cellphone. Along the way, she kept thinking of pleasant things to relieve her anxious feelings. Just when she thought she was safe because she was almost at her boarding house, something bad happened. Her mouth was suddenly gagged by someone from behind by a mysterious man. The man then dragged Miranda to a car and forced her to get in.

Of course Miranda tried to fight back and break free. But the man was too strong. Miranda even got hit so hard on her head and face that her ears were ringing with pain. Just when she was too tired to fight back and thought that her world was over, that's when Jonathan, who happened to be assigned by the police officer to replace that broken garden lamp, passed by. Seeing this suspicious thing, he immediately approached and helped Miranda.

"It was the first time I felt my heart beating fast. Especially when he carried me out of the car and examined my wounds while waiting for the police to come."

Since that night, Miranda, who fell in love at first sight with Jonathan began to search for the identity of the man of her dreams. She started frequenting the cafe where Jonathan worked, pretending to study when she had only come to see him. At first, Jonathan didn't really care about all of Miranda's attention and sweet attitude to him. But over time, he finally melted and fell in love with her. They then decided to date and began to live beautiful days filled with hot love.

Knowing that his only daughter has a boyfriend, Mr. Morgan, of course, did not remain silent. He then orders his men to investigate Jonathan's background. Starting from family, social life to educational status. All these investigations led Mr. Morgan to one conclusion, he did not approve of their relationship.

The reason?

Not because Jonathan is just a high school graduate. Or because he comes from a poor family. The reason is because based on the results of the investigation, Mr. Morgan found a fact that Jonathan had been sentenced for driving under the influence of alcohol and causing a minor accident. Maybe for some, it's not a big thing. But not for Mr. Morgan! He highly values a sense of responsibility. And in his eyes, Jonathan's actions have shown that he is not a responsible person.

However, of course Miranda did not accept her father's refusal. She who is deeply in love with Jonathan keeps trying to convince her father that Jonathan is a very good man. The relationship between father and daughter, which was originally very sweet and warm, suddenly turned cold. Miranda who remains adamant in her love for Jonathan, and her father who remains adamant in rejecting their relationship.

Although in the end, Mr. Morgan chose to give up and succumbed to his daughter when his favorite daughter ran away from home with Jonathan. Mr. Morgan who loves his daughter very much will not be able to be separated from her. Finally, the marriage between Jonathan and Miranda took place. Even the wedding became a legend on Miranda's campus and is remembered as the male version of Cinderella's story.

Not without reason people dub Jonathan as the male version of Cinderella. Because after marrying Miranda, he immediately quit the cafe where he previously worked and started holding a company owned by Mr. Morgan. Of course, Mr. Morgan didn't want her daughter to have a hard life, so he tried his best to lift Jonathan's career, to educate him as much as possible to become a successful businessman. Although at this time Miranda is still the main leader in Mr. Morgan's company.

Day by day, Miranda's married life went perfectly. Her world was more complete when she gave birth to a daughter named Sena. Anyone who sees Miranda's life, will surely feel jealous of her. Rich, beautiful, has a husband and family who love her very much, ah, absolutely perfect! But.. one day, that mirror with beautiful and perfect carving was cracked.

Right on her tenth wedding anniversary, Miranda had to find a harsh reality that the man she loved and was proud of in the world, actually betrayed her behind her back.

That day, Miranda's world suddenly collapsed. She was shattered to pieces when her husband's mistress came to her house and told her that she was pregnant with his child. And what's even sadder is, the woman turned out to be Miranda's friend from college. The friend who used to encourage her to confess her love to Jonathan. As if all the bad news wasn't enough, she was again hit hard by fate when his father suddenly died of a heart attack on the same day.

After that, the story of the princess was only filled with suffering and sadness. Losing the family that she loved the most, betrayed by her husband who shamelessly asked Miranda to let his mistress live with them, lost the rights to all of his father's company assets because Jonathan had transferred them all to his control. Miranda who was originally very happy, proud, and charming suddenly turned into a madman. She can only scream, cry, destroy things and even destroy herself. While Jonathan always looked sadly at his wife. He refuses to divorce his wife on the grounds that he still loves his wife very much. But when Miranda asked him to leave her, he refused because he couldn't bear to see her suffer alone. And the funny thing is, Miranda still holds Jonathan's hand tightly, even though she continues to be the hurt and crazy party.

The princess's sad story continues, causing an innocent new princess to be dragged into it. A new princess who must be trapped in a vicious circle of that kingdom that is slowly destroying her heart and soul. The new princess who was originally a cheerful girl with beautiful thoughts about love because she saw how romantic her parents were. The new princess who now thinks that all love stories are bullshit. Yup, the new princess is Sena...
