Chapter 99

Drake’s POV: 

Several years ago...

“Mom, Dad, please don’t leave,” I said desperately, tugging on the edge of their clothes as tears poured down my face.

“You’re the only ones I have,” I choked, looking up at their backs hoping that at least one of them would turn around. Perhaps I was expecting too much as a child, because not any of them even cared to turn towards me to face me directly, their only son. 

There was a time that we were actually the happiest family out there. Dad would spin me around and help mom out in the kitchen, mom would make me her homemade dishes and I loved every single one of them. Years had passed and it seemed that their love was slowly starting to fade away. Eventually, they fell out of love, leaving me behind all alone simply because I became a reminder of their broken  relationship, of their love that no longer had any spark. I was regarded as a mistake.
