Chapter 48

Snow

"Snow, if you don't mind, Kesha will be joining us for lunch." Kylie announces and the smile on my face drops. “I should’ve mentioned that earlier but I hope that it okay with you. If you have a problem with that, I can ask to leave.”

"What?" I almost scream and hurry to pack up my things and leave. I'll postpone our lunch if I have to. I can't stay in the same space as Kesha. I’ll definitely end up ripping her heart out if she irritates me in the slightest way possible.

Kylie slowly bursts into laughter. "I'm just kidding. You should've seen the look on your face."

I blush in embarrassment. "No offence but I didn't know you had a sense of humour. Like this one." I say after she stops laughing. "Again, no offence."

"None taken. I don't really have a great sense of humour. I'm very bad at telling jokes. But I'm glad that I was able to make you laugh." She smiles at me and I return it. Inwardly, I feel like this joke could really kill a person even if she put zero percent effort
