Chapter 268 I Regret It

Carson stood with his back facing the moonlight and the sadness in his eyes was concealed by the shadow that loomed over his face.

Everly's shadow stretched under the moonlight as she lost her composure. All the things she had been refraining from saying had finally all come spilling out.

Before Carson could respond, she turned to find a corner to sit for the night. However, before she could walk off, her arm was grabbed, and she was pulled into his arms.

It was him.

"Let me go!" Everly struggled and punched at him. However, none of that seemed to work as he held onto her tightly, as though he was trying to merge her into his body. She pinched on his flesh, twisting and turning, and even resorted to biting him on the chest, but he still refused to let go.

Furious, she roared, "Carson Baxter, what on earth are you doing? Let go of me! Don't think that you can simply do anything you want because we are alone here! Let me tell you something, I-"
